Apocalypse is literally; revelation.
(Har–Ma·ged´on) [from Heb., meaning “Mountain of Megiddo”].
This name is directly associated with “the war of the great day of God the Almighty.” The term applies specifically to the condition, or situation, to which “the kings of the entire inhabited earth” are gathered in opposition to Jehovah and his Kingdom by Jesus Christ. In a number of versions it is rendered “Armageddon.” (Re 16:14, 16, AT; KJ; JB; RS; TEV) The name Har–Magedon, taken from Hebrew, means simply “Mountain of Megiddo

An "apocalypse" is a vision given to a prophet by God. The Book of Revelation is a prime example of apocalyptic literature.
"Armageddon" is an Anglicized version of the Hebrew words "Har-Megiddo," which means the Mountain of Megiddo. This has come to refer to the huge plain in Northern Israel where the armies of the antichrist will gather prior to their battle with God. See Revelation 16:16.
There will be thousands, or perhaps millions, of people who are alive after the battle following Jesus' return, although none of them will be the soldiers. People all over the world will survive. Jesus told us that the angels will gather the unrighteous first, and they will be brought before Him for judgement. (Read Matt. 13:24-30 and 13:36-43, for example.) The righteous believers who survive the Tribulation will also be separated, but permitted to live. Jesus called this the "sheep and goat judgement" (Matt. 25:31-46).

Apocalypse does not mean "the end" or " a great disaster or war".
It is a tansliteration of greek, which when translated means revelation, which means uncovering, pulling back the curtain or veil so that you can see. The Book in the bible called "Revelation" is in some versions of the bible called Apocalypse, which is the same thing. Armageddon is a place mentioned in the bible , where a great war will take place, called the "The Battle of Armageddon".

Apocalypse means an "unveiling" usually of some knowledge while Armageddon is the mountain of Meggido where we have this prophecy of Scripture given.
Revelation 16:12 The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, to prepare the way for the kings from the east. (13) And I saw, coming out of the mouth of the dragon and out of the mouth of the beast and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs. (14) For they are demonic spirits, performing signs, who go abroad to the kings of the whole world, to assemble them for battle on the great day of God the Almighty.
(15) ("Behold, I am coming like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake, keeping his garments on, that he may not go about naked and be seen exposed!")
(16) And they assembled them at the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon. (17) The seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple, from the throne, saying, "It is done!" (18) And there were flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, and a great earthquake such as there had never been since man was on the earth, so great was that earthquake. (19) The great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell, and God remembered Babylon the great, to make her drain the cup of the wine of the fury of his wrath. (20) And every island fled away, and no mountains were to be found. (21) And great hailstones, about one hundred pounds each, fell from heaven on people; and they cursed God for the plague of the hail, because the plague was so severe.
The majority of humanity will not survive or at least not for very long because the people for the most part will have been deceived by the false prophet. The believers in Jesus Christ will survive however.

Well Armageddon is more used in religious text and Apocalypse is more Hollywood. In Rev. 16:16, it is used in referance to Jesus batteling the Antichrist. So basically its two words describing the same thing. Both means the end of the world on Biblical Proportions. (please forgive any typos, I have my index and middle fingers taped together b/c they are broken)
