Yesterday a person asked "What is a fake Christian?", he (a christian) said something about his fellow Christians judging Christians, and I said "I thought it was gods job to judge", and it was removed because it was "Not a Question or Answer". I asked a question yesterday about how strange it was that if a Christian prays for something and it comes true, it was the work of god, but if a non-Christian prays or was to cast a spell and it came true, its either a coincidence or the work of the devil. That question was removed because it was "Chatting & Personal Communications".
Ive asked and answered several questions, directed at pretty much every belief and religion, yet the only questions and answers that I get violation notices for are the ones that criticize or question Christianity. It doesn't matter how legit or valid it was, it still gets deleted.
My question
Why are religious people such wussies? Why can't people learn to accept their due criticism?

Yeah, but it might be too overwhelming for Yahoo to screen the reports. The current system sucks.

The "ghost Muslims" strike again. (I didn't know that they could be that clever.) Clever? Well, maybe not "clever" maybe just devious.
The reason I suspect it is not the Christians (of course it could be a few Jesus Freaks; hey I love Jesus too, but not as lover or rock and roll hero)
Well, anyway, the reason I think it is not Christians in general, is that, We christians have an obligation to forgive, and to encourage free will, and freedom of expression. God seemed to want it that way. Else he would have forced everyone to kneel down. -
Now what possible proof could I have? Well how about this: Jesus told us not to worship him. And, Jesus never told us to worship God; that's right, Jesus said to love God. - That's a big difference.
- sorry for the rambling.

It happens to all here at one time or another. BUT....Some participants just rant and rave about THEIR beliefs and that is all they will accept. They cannot accept criticism or anothers point of view as they are narrow minded. They ask questions in an insulting way also just to make their point.
You can ask a question or post an answer without getting nasty and ignorant. That is why a lot are deleted. They hurl slurs at people for standing up for their beliefs and not agreeing with theirs. For example...
The Big Chill: Snow And Ice To Strike tomorrow?
....devil will come and rule the world
beware god lovers, hide behind your gods

HAHAHAHA....
Is this proper and NOT insulting to others?
..................................................................................................
Why doesn't the Bible begin with "Once upon a time"?....This is an intelligent question, don't you think?
........................................................................................................
Why do Jehovah's Witnesses believe that they have the only true religion?
They are very close-minded.
(The opinion of the person asking the question should have been omitted so as not to insult them)....see some answers...........
Most cults will and do preach that they have the answer for every one. (direct reference and slur, calling them a cult)
The list goes on and on. people can't just answer a question without an insult if they don't feel the same way. Obvious;ly whomever they offend is reporting them.(I assume anyway)
I agree with you on your point though. It was an answer and should have been left alone. You may have worded the second more like a question to prevent it's removal. Does sound more like just a comment than a question the way you have it here.
It's not my job to police here though.
Good Luck.......

I've had 3 or 4 of those by now so don't feel alone. I've also had personal messages because someone didn't like an answer. My mail is still in the open mode. I was told I should look to the Levitical laws in the old testament, as regards to women. I live in canada, but my ancertors were from england, should I go back to wearing a whale bone skirt which weighed about 40 or 50 pounds? Come on!

Because a lot of people have beliefs that once challenged with logic or reason, simply crumble. Instead of damaging their weak psyche, they choose to ignore it and/or censor thinking people. Then they talk about how they are the only ones that know "the truth".
Somewhat hypocritical, but none of them will be able to answer this question in a way that makes evena little bit of sense. So they will either ignore it, try to have it deleted, or tell you all about their "truth". Just read some of these posts...

The initial violation is automated. If a couple of people report you , then you get violated. If you appeal, it goes to some Yahoo employee to "Judge" your answer. Yahoo's decision criteria is entirely subjective based on the individual Yahoo employee's mood and ideology. They will delete you if they disagree with your opinion regardless of the community guidelines. I have had a few deletions, including a couple that were in no way violations of any guidelines. It simply proved to me that there is at least one anti-Catholic working there. They are not ethically neutral. It's a little power trip for them.

Welcome to Y!A, R+S section. It's sad,huh?
I had to make a new account for this crap, because I was about to lose my main mail account because of the 'report abuse abusers'.
I don't even really care. I just find it sad that what started out as a good online forum, has turned into a forum that loses its purpose, because a large part of th users get offended by practically anything.
If every questions needs a disclaimer that's longer than the actual question, what's the use of even bothering to ask anything?

The same thing happened to me... A Christian asked where a passage was found in the Bible and I answered with the passage and it was removed because it was "Not a Question or Answer".
Go figure...

I think Yahoo really needs to rethink it's strategy on how it handles abuse notifications.
The way it is now, it's just too easy for somebody with a grudge to target the questions of his rival. I think Yahoo needs to introduce a human element into the mix so that this doesn't happen.

yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh, riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.
When did you stop beating your wife? My question is in the same form as yours - it makes an assumption simply by the wording. Thanks for the thumbs down, btw. Shows what a hypocrite you are.
Shoe on the other foot don't feel too good does it?
Turnabout is fair play.
If you don't like the rules don't play the game.
How the hell do you know the ones reporting the question are Christians? YOU DON'T!
Anyone who reports ANY - and I mean ANY answer to this alleged question as "Not an answer or a question" needs to report the question for the SAME THING!
Jesus loves you.
