It is way better, in a spiritual sense, than it was 2000 years ago. People are far more understanding and way less likely to commit horrible acts against each other in the name of god. I think Jesus did a great job as savior. Humanity's golden age is in full swing. No more wars or murders or famines or anything, not for the last 2000 years. Truly a miracle. Thank you Jesus!

The world today is still lying in the hands of Satan...

1 John 5:19: " We know we originate with God, but the whole world is lying in the [power of the] wicked one."

1 John 2:15-17: "Do not be loving either the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him; 16 because everything in the world—the desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes and the showy display of one’s means of life—does not originate with the Father, but originates with the world. 17 Furthermore, the world is passing away and so is its desire, but he that does the will of God remains forever.

Revelation 12:9-11: "9 So down the great dragon was hurled, the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan, who is misleading the entire inhabited earth; he was hurled down to the earth, and his angels were hurled down with him. 10 And I heard a loud voice in heaven say:
“Now have come to pass the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ, because the accuser of our brothers has been hurled down, who accuses them day and night before our God! 11 And they conquered him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their witnessing, and they did not love their souls even in the face of death. 12 On this account be glad, YOU heavens and YOU who reside in them! Woe for the earth and for the sea, because the Devil has come down to YOU, having great anger, knowing he has a short period of time.”

The Bible says that when Jesus begins ruling he will first rule amongst his enemies...

Psalm 110:1 & 2: "The utterance of Jehovah to my Lord is:
“Sit at my right hand
Until I place your enemies as a stool for your feet.”
2 The rod of your strength Jehovah will send out of Zion, [saying:]
“Go subduing in the midst of your enemies.”

He may be lord to you. As far as I'm concerned, the world would be much better off if we stopped worshipping false idols.
