The very basic element of Christian faith is this:
Love each other and Love God.

Everything else is open to debate, interpretation, manipulation, etc. Religions are not ordained by God and are man-made attempts to control and assert power. Christianity in itself is merely the desire to follow the example that Jesus set.

Can you seperate bad 'Christians" from Christianity? If you go to the basic teaching, there is nothing to be offended by.

According to Christian mythology Adam and Eve came to know about sex only when they ate a fruit. If God had created Adam and Steve they would have indulged in homosexual relationship only if they had eaten the fruit. It would have been difficult for Satan to trick Steve more than Eve. Adam would not have eten the fruit if it was given to him by Steve instead of Eve.

Lobsters, crabs, and tube worms all apparently survived Noah's flood, but Trilobites, which were obviously far more numerous (plenty of fossil evidence) didn't. How did stationary tube worms escape god's wrath when mobile and numerically superior trilobites were all buried?

I think I heard that from someone before. If it's true, from what text does this understanding come? In the Mormon understanding, this just means that the highest level of exaltation, i.e., returning to Heavenly Father, is forever to be denied the person who murders, right? Is this understanding of Mormon doctrine accurate?

PS Please don't waste my time if you don't have a serious answer that adds to the discussion.

Then it must've been confusing for the Virgin Mary.

and wasn't Jesus "the son of man" ?

or was he God? does that make God the son of man?

Plenty Christians have asked me why I dont believe in God. When I start giving them answers, they get frustrated and say,"I dont want to talk about it anymore"

People let bad things happen, quit blaming GOD for all of your problems. I think it's time for people to start taking responsiblity for there own actions.

EG, a soldier fighting for his own life in a heroic last stand (thus taking lives even as he dies).

Or a soldier who jumps in front of bullet/ on to a grenade to save a comrade, therefore technically committing suicide?

I'd be interested in hearing your spiritual viewpoint on the above to scenarios. Thank you!

I'm not saying you shouldn't or anything, but I myself am an Atheist, so I am a little more than puzzled. Anyone care to explain? (BTW: Though I am not hostile towards you for believing in something I don't, believe ME when I say that anyone who tries to convert me is asking for it. I don't care if you think you're trying to save me from eternal damnation; I don't believe in Hell. You respect my beliefs, and I'll respect yours.)

I am interested in learning more about Buddhism. I would like to know the basic beliefs, practices, and history and how someone would go about converting or how to practice this religion. I would like some ideas on literature which is fairly straightforward and not too dry. I know absolutely nothing about this faith, so it would have to be fairly elementary in its explanations as well. Thanks.

Why can't he make a large bird come down and land on the attackers head, causing him to fight it and allowing the victim to run away? Doing so would not impact the attacker's free will, but would save the victim. Why is this not done?

If god needs bad stuff to happen to allow free will, then he is not omnipotent.

Every time I debate with a Christian, they say i'm forcing my opinion on them. Isn't that impossible without the use of violence?

Christians, do you not have control over your own minds?

It's your choice to accept other people's opinions.

It's impossilbe for someone to force their opinion on anyone.

For example, the following verses of the Torah promise the coming of the Prophet Muhammad, upon him be peace and blessings:

The Lord said to me [Moses]: ‘What they say is good. I will raise up for them a Prophet like you among their brothers; I will put My words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him. If anyone does not listen to My words that the Prophet speaks in My Name, I will Myself call him to account.’ (Deuteronomy, 18.17–9)

The Qur’an points to the same fact:

We have sent to you a Messenger as a witness over you, even as We sent to Pharaoh a Messenger. (al-Muzzammil, 73.15)

God reiterates the same fact in the Qur’an:

He does not speak out of [his own] desire. It is but a Revelation revealed. (al-Najm, 53.3-4)

The Prophet who shone forth from Mount Paran
The following verse,
The Lord came from Sinai and dawned over them from Seir; He shone forth from Mount Paran. (Deuteromony, 33.2)
