There are 13 million worldwide and I know that a little over half live outside the US, so probably around 6 million. This number of course does not include the polygamous cults that are called "Fundamentalist Mormons" since the church does not recognize these sects.

Sorry, I mis-read the question. I thought I had read morons & not Mormons. Can't answer the Mormon question, but I stick to my answer for the moron question. I don't have an exact number, but most of them can be seen on American Idol.
