Men and women are allowed to marry. So how is gays asking to be married anything special?

If you are against gay marriage, fine. Don't marry a gay person. Otherwise it is none of your business. There is no room in our laws for any ridiculous religious dogma that makes no sense.

And Malachi didn't have much to say.
God didn't have any more stuff to dictate? It was 430 years after that that Jesus came.
In the intervening years God was silent?

Say for instance, we give gifts because we love that feeling we get from watching them receive the gift, seeing their faces. We actually get something out of it when we give a gift. Is that why we do what we do... for the what i got outta it??? Is this considered selffish or generous... to give?

One answer to my last question said that homosexuals are in their face wanting ridiculous special rights. So elaborate. What rights are they asking for that you do not have?

Wiccans, I have a serious question.

Why do you feel the need to keep the word "Witch," only within your religion? I saw a post that said, "That's stupid since witches don't believe in Satan or Hell."

Witches were around long before Wicca was [and please, do not spout the old religion thing, it's almost 60, and it's only BASED off of older faiths, like Christianity.], and yet you are acting like All witches are Wiccans.

Seriously, Witches come from all faiths [Quiet Christians, take a deep inventory of your faith before you say you are witch free]. witchcraft is not a belief, but a practice.

The logic~

All Wiccans are Witches [Which is not always true mind you].
Therefore all Witches are Wiccan.

doesn't work.

Earlier tonight, someone posted a question about which was the most religious country in Europe.

It made me wonder which would be the most religious country in Asia.

Any ideas?

Is "Scientific Fact" a contradiction in terms, when what science gives us are partially-tested hypotheses which are constantly being revised and altered?

I put this in "Religion and Spirituality" because I want to examine the question in the widest sense, of science as one expression of the search of human beings for truth.

This is not intended to be a "Science v Chrisitianity"-type question, so anyone wishing merely to express their unquestioning faith in any religion, or their equally unquestioning faith in science, is perhaps in the wrong place.

I am asking whether science can be an instrument for approaching or arriving at truth (i.e. truth as opposed to best-guess, knowledge as opposed to hypothesis) or whether it is merely a method for collecting observations and ordering them into a system.

As you are perhaps aware, this is a question on which there is current debate in the scientific community, and on which many scientists hold opposing opinions.

Curiosity compels me to ask, when you deliver God's judgement aren't you just using him as a tool to justify your own intolerance? Sure, sure, you keep saying "it's in the bible," but get real, what isn't? Y'all don't hate divorced and remarried people, or women who talk in church, so you really aren't using the whole bible, your using the parts of it that fit into your own agenda--Is that why you keep Christ on the cross? Is he easier to control that way?

Where can I get it? I want a CD with all the usual Shabbat songs, the Mat Tzoer, Baruch Hadah, Adonai, Shabbat Shalom, etc.

Know of one? Or where to begin looking for one??

Blessings
