laundry fresh out of the dryer?

2006-12-29 06:28:28 · 13 answers · asked by Anonymous

I used to attend church religiously every time the doors were open.

One Sunday morning, I unexpectedly was flatulent in a Pew.

Alhtough it didn't make me feel bad enough to repent, I wondered if this despicable act would condemn me to Hell.

My ex-pastor said yes.

But I don't have much Money because Jesus apparenly doesn't like me as much as all the rich Christians, so all I can afford to buy to eat is beans.

And I surely don't want to go to Hell.

That is why I don't go to church anymore.

ok so i believe in god but my parents make me go to a christain church and i hate it how they think everything in the bible is true and anything not in it isn't. so my question is what can i do durring that borring service. plus i think its stupid to follow a specific religion when there are millions of them and i have my own beleive so why should i follow someone elses?

That they have the same religious beliefs as you do? I mean think really hard about this. If you raise them to question everything and teach them to make decisions on their own isn't that giving them free will. I am wondering because as people get older they statistically hold the same beliefs as their parents but would they if they were raised differently? I mean all my muslim friends have muslim parents and they never question their beliefs because its all they have ever known...the same goes from any Christians that I have ever known. Isn't it harder to look at other religions with an open mind if you have been biased since youth? I think most people don't really understand how much faith someone else has in something completely different then what they believe because they are taught since being young that what they believe is true? What do you think?

In the language that would have been spoken by Moses or Noah? Having it phonetically written would be nice, i.e. Allah = Ah-Lah

about the fall of the Roman Empire? It couldn't be any more obvious unless he flat out said "the 666 beast is the Roman Emporer Nero".

I am looking for a way to be able to reach out to the Muslim community primarily Afghans, about God's guidance. I feel that these people have been in too much hardship so they forgot about the basics like how greed and jealousy is a sin. Basic things of such. Christians and Muslims believe in the same basic guidance that God commands. So what is a good method for me to break the ice with them and teach?

I think we all know that Jesus was a good man, but who are these people walking around calling themselves Christians? I mean, who are these people like Brad of cyberpanhandler.com? How are people like me supposed to believe?

REASON: Our pastor has given us the task of finding proof. My assignment is finding documentation outside the bible. I've looked everywhere but can't find anything. thank you.

I have heard it called a cult by many christians. Since I don't know much about it....I was wondering if you could tell me some of their beliefs and what is wrong/bad about it in your opinion. Ex-Mormons encouraged to answer.

My name is Kyle, and I'm a 16 year old boy. I recently received a letter from the Pope in response to a question I had about my Grandmother. In this response, the Pope included a picture of himself. I found myself wondering why a Catholic person would wear a Yamaca. Isn't that a Jewish Tradition? I would appreciate a prompt reply because I feel like the answer would provide good subject material at my Grandmother's funeral. Sometimes small-talk can be exhausting with relatives.

Christians always tell us that their religion teaches them to "love your enemies" - using this logic why don't Christians love Osama Bin Laden etc - if not why not ? If you say no arent you saying your religion is wrong

The Qur'an tells muslims to kill and go to war to fight for Islam: Quran, chapters (Surahs) 9:5; 2:191; 2:193; 3:118; 4:75,76; 5:33, 8:12; 8:65; 9:73,123; 33:60-62.
2. Fight for Allah: "And kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from whence they drove you out, and persecution is severer than slaughter, and do not fight with them at the Sacred Mosque until they fight with you in it, but if they do fight you, then slay them; such is the recompense of the unbelievers, (Quran 2:191).
3. Muslims are to battle for Allah: "Those who believe do battle for the cause of Allah; and those who disbelieve do battle for the cause of idols. So fight the minions of the devil. Lo! the devil's strategy is ever weak," (Quran 4:76).
4. Kill those against Islam: "The only reward of those who make war upon Allah and His messenger and strive after corruption in the land will be that they will be killed or crucified, or have their hands and feet on alternate sides cut off, or will be expelled.
