I am sick of it. I don't recite Voodoo spells all over the place. Why do they subject me to bible verses!? I don't push my stuff, why do some Christians? I dont' get that. It's like used car salesmen!!! Push, push, push. I don't care what the bible says anymore than I care what the dictionary or War and Peace says. It's a book. Faith is inside of me.

I'm not brainwashed, but I have a question. If you are so sick of people quoting the Scriptures then why are you on a RELIGIOUS board? Like DUH!!! What did you expect to find in here, especially when people are discussing RELIGION?
Maybe they are sick and tired of hearing so much HATE from people like you. Maybe if you got rid of some of YOUR ANGER you might have a better life. And yes, I do not know you but I have seen enough like you.
Angry at the world and you haven't done anything wrong and it is everyone else's fault for the way your life is.

Yes, but I think they are pretty sick about getting comments from folk like me, calling them 'nutters' and bible thumpers.
You are correct of course they are all brainwashed, into different religions, if they just said "I believe in God" and did their own thing in private, then even I as an atheist would find no fault in that, but they have 'teachers' and 'leaders' to impress upon them that theirs is the only true religion, why????
I firmly believe in the right of free speech and certainly in the right of folks to believe (or not) in God, but to quote absolute rubbish from a book that can be interpreted to mean almost anything, is way out of order, in fact its meaningless mumbo jumbo.
I was just thinking (before I came upon your question) its coming up to New Year very soon, wonder why the religious folk haven't managed to take over that day as some sort of religious feast or celebration? Or maybe they have?? How about Holy Jan 1st, I'm pretty sure that's mentioned in one of the bibles isn't it?

I just ignore them. I don't really appreciate it when people quote anyone on here. Give me the link so I can see how it backs up your theory if I am interested enough to follow it, but we are here asking for personal opinions and knowledge. Any of us could pick up a bible if that was a source we wanted to consult instead. I am all for scripture in questions like "please help me find a quote about this in the bible" but otherwise, let's hear it in your own words folks.

No I'm not sick of it. Christians have the same right to speak as you do, and more Christians have died protecting you rights than atheists, so you should thank them for what they did for you. If you don't like what other people say, don't read it. Sounds like you might be afraid of the truth...

It is interesting that you read them and they stir your emptions. Everyone knows within their heart that the spirit of God dwells there. Like children who don't want to wake up, some ignore its gentle call to awake and are irritated when it persists. Sooner or later it will Insist you wake up.
