Read the crucifixion in the Gospels.
One man mocked Christ.
One man recognized he, himself was a sinner and asked the Lord if He would remember him when He entered His Kingdom. Jesus told that thief that He would be with him in Paradise.

back some little over 2000 years in the past, crucifixion became the subject-loose punishment for any crime. Jesus became the only one that became nailed to the go; the others have been tied to it. it in many circumstances took from 4 to 7 days to die on an identical time as being crucified.

Two thieves, no name is recorded for them. The important thing is one became a believer and went to Paradise with Jesus and the other was bitter and didn't.

I read somewhere that the name of the man who repented on the cross was named Dismus. He was the one to whom Jesus said, "I assure you this day you will be with me in Paradise."
I'm not sure about the other guy, though.
