No. Even if there were separate categories for each religion, the "trolls" as you call them would still post comments. It is interesting to hear different religious viewpoints even if you don't believe in those viewpoints. And people should have the right to free speech to express their religious beliefs.

It seems like a good idea; there would be a place where you can ask questions about a certain religion. However, there are so many religions in the world that the number of sections in Y!A would more than double.

No. Most questions are not specifically for one religious group, and those that are, having insight from many different people is key.

I think no, Yahoo! should not create a SEPARATE section for each religion on Yahoo! Answers.

No, it's more interesting this way.

It's fun to pick out the bigots, the waste-of-timers, the lost, the misguided, the sure-of-themselves, the complete idiots, the jackasses, and the truly serious thinkers while they are all on the same forum...

That's fine, as long as they understand that this is a Q&A forum, not a place of worship - so they have to be open to questions and answers. (Which would make as much sense as restricitng the participation in the "Royalty" section to Dukes and Earls.)

If what you want is a place for particular religious people to gather, there are plenty of sites OUTSIDE of Y!A.

Not just trolls - anyone who wanted to preach hatred against another religion. Not trying to point fingers, but I'm sure that more than one fundamentalist Christian would target the Wiccan and Pagan site just say over and over that we worship Satan.

Atheism isn't a religion...It shouldn't even exist as a word...I mean we don't have a name for people who don't believe in Astrology...or Mythology....And I don't know...people would still harrass other people.

No, if someone wants a website where only those that agree with them are allowed, there's thousands of religion-specific websites already out there.

Hey... what about one for the atheists so then when a Christian or anyone of theism comes on there we can say "you don't belong here, why are you here?".
