I am looking for a way to be able to reach out to the Muslim community primarily Afghans, about God's guidance. I feel that these people have been in too much hardship so they forgot about the basics like how greed and jealousy is a sin. Basic things of such. Christians and Muslims believe in the same basic guidance that God commands. So what is a good method for me to break the ice with them and teach?

Teach them by asking them questions and let them answer the question(s).
Besides, is it possible they may also teach yourself that way?

I don't mean to discourage you,yet I am not encouraging you. That is not going to happen. You have a better chance with Hindus. It is better to be a Christian or a Muslim, than to be a Hindu, don't you think so?Muslims know that they are going through much hardships,we are taught that in Islam,Muslims will face many hardships.Muslims were told that when they first entered Islam. And we all already know that greed and jealousy is a sin,yet some of us don't pay as much attention to it as we should.Any way,try to convert Hindus, and hopefully God will reword you in this life.P.S.Can you name at least 3 Muslim who are greedy and jealous?I can only name the Egyptian president is sort of greedy, but that's it.

Muslims know the word of God and Principles without any "guidance" from you. What makes you think for one second that Muslims are greedy and jealous? The only ice you need to break is in your lemonade, have a seat, have a drink and mind your own condescending business. Greed and Jealousy! Have you any idea how offensive that is.

Good question!

I now live in a country that is at least 90% Muslim. I am a Christian. They have no problem telling me I should convert to Islam.

I think the best and only way is to do what the Bible says and lead a good life so that GOD's light shines from you and from that light they will see the goodness and truth of GOD and HIS works in you.

Focus on the differences between the muslim jesus and the christian jesus, I feel that most muslims have a skewed version of what christians believe about jesus (i.e that we think that mary is god #2 in the trinity), and clarifying it would make it appear that you are simply clarifying beliefs rather than trying to convert them. (Throwing some evidence in wouldn't be bad either)

Gud that you asked.Firstly if a muslim is educated,Alhamdulillah he will not try such stupidity to convert himself into any fake beleif. If he is uneducated he will be hard to even be convert into any blind faith. Now the gud part is that you know that there are some common things similiar in Islam and Christianity. The best source is Dr.Zakir Naik. see the cassette "Similarities between Islam and Christianity"

Don't hide behind Gods Word and expect it to work. IF YOU DO NOT tell them about Christ and IF YOU have been blessed by Him, tell them and stand up and be a witness for Christ. What you have asked is like cutting off your nose to spite your face. Do not be ashamed of the Word of God. I do not mean to sound cruel, but stand up, walk tall, and be proud of being in the service of the Lord. Do not worry about "converting" everyone you witness to. One person, other then Christ, cannot change the whole world and everyone in it. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Pray for the ones who reject Him and let God take care of the rest.

Well Greed and jealousy is related to human nature(negative side of nature) and religion is not much involved in this. If you approach them on human basis it would be better.....they have enough guidance in their own religion provided they follow it truly.

And if you are talking about afghans then their hardships are because of russian and now American invasions and not because of religion(please don't link Osama to our religion, he is not our representative.)

Btw i appreciat you feelings but your approach is not good and it won't work .

How about leave them to their own God, who happens to be the same God as yours?? How about you learn something about your own religion, like how it teaches that you be humble and not think that your way is better than others, and how not to judge others.

How can a Muslim reach out and teach you the errors of YOUR ways??

Pray for their salvation and God to give them visions or dreams and draw them to Gods saving Truth & Grace.

Anyway, God is doing this. They need to hear Gods Word. Faith comes by hearing and hearing a word about God / Christ.

To them believing Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God is blasphemy, so God needs to draw them unto Him. Jesus said. "If I be lifted up, I will draw many unto me.". Signifying what His death would be.

And if you are around them, just love on them. Let them know that you believe in Jesus Christ the Lord.

Also there are books out there on this, so look up in a Christian book Net site, or check out a Christian Supply store. There are testimonies of people who used to be Muslims, and are saved through faith in Jesus Christ. These testimonies are wonderful. I will look for one I just seen a while back and get back to you with it.
