Matthew 12:24 When they heard of Jesus expelling the demon out of a man the wicked pharisees, said it is by being a demon that he expells demons. Jesus reply I thought was interesting.
"Every kingdom divided against itself comes to desolation and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.
I would think that includes religions that have become divided?
If they are fighting against each other, wouldn't that religion become desolation?

We hear over and over by the anti-religious how religion is the cause of most wars.

Facts about modern wars:

There were roughly 62 wars over the last 150 years with casualties over 100,000 people.

Those wars account for about 180 million people being killed.

55 non-religious wars accounting for 175 Million deaths
5 wars where religion played some part, but reason for war was primarily non-religious. 4 Million deaths
2 religious wars accounting for 1.3 million deaths

I’ll list the wars and amount killed as an edit to the question if I can fit into the character limits.

* non-religious
% somewhat religious
# religious

Set asside the distinct differences between rituals and profits of the religions. Focus more on the aspect of loving and believing and following the Guidelines that God set forth for his children. I have discovered a distinct similarity between followers of Islam and Christianity. Both Muslims and Christians have dwarfed the views of the Holy Readings in order to suit their own needs. It is one thing to go to Church every Sunday or pray 5 times a day; however going through the rituals doesn't make you religious. Striving to do what is right and live your life by the rules and guidlines that god has given is truly what defines the religion. The basic rules and guidelines are the same in Islam as they are in Christianity. Why must a person feel they are more rightous by praising God in a different manner. I work with Muslims in Afghanistan on a daily basis. I am very respected because of how I treat them and act around them. It is time to get back to the roots of the teachings.

I really like the following:
Islam
Wicca/paganism/witchcraft
Judaism
Buddhism
Taoism
Confucianism
And there's a bunch more.
I wish I could be all of them, but some don't mix with each other and some require a lifetime of study and loyalty.
Please tell me how I can choose or why you chose your religion.

Christianity killed people for saying the world was round, the world orbits the sun, and that gravity holds us against the Earth (rather than the active hand of God). Why side with them on Evolution and the Big Bang?

"Alas, you have fallen victim to the Myth of Popular Evolution that insists improvements lead to new species. The scientific, biological theorem of Evolution, on the other hand, is a theory about changes. You don't see the difference? I thought not...

The Myth says everything (including reason) is simply the unforeseen and unintended by-product of a mindless process at one stage of its endless and aimless becoming. Your HIV virui are still HIV virui. They have not evolved. They have adapted to a life-threatening attack (antibiotics etc). But they are mindless and purposeless except to exist. They simply devote themselves to reproducing. That tells us more about the Force of Life at work in the universe than it does about evolution. It's not a problem. "

Does this person not understand the role of natural selection and adaptation in evolution?
