It was not theirs in the first place but Hijacked by them when Christianity came in to being. Christ is supposed to have been born sometime in June or July not 25 of December. It is really the
Winter Solstice held on the shortist day of the year the 21fst of
December. When the Celts and The Norse People Prayed for the
Sun to return to give Life to the Earth. You can celebrate the Winter Solstice by comeing to Ireland to Newgrange in Meath near The Hill of Tara the Ancient Seat of the high Kings of Ireland.Newgrange is an Ancient Tomb about 5,000 years old Dedicated to the Worship of the Sun.You can apply to the Dept of The Arts Heritage and Gaeltacht .i dont know the Adress but i suppose Government Buildings in Merrion st will do and they will direct you to the right adress or the Tourists Office in OConnel st Dublin. If youre lucky you can get a pass into the Tomb for the Solstice. The light of the Sun shines throught the top of the Door and lights up the Interior at the the first light of the 21 fst of December.I was on a School trip as a child when we visited this Tomb .It has a Celtic Stone about 12 ft long with Carved Whirls outside, and a long Triangular Tunnel to the main Round Chamber. There are about three or four alcoves with Stone Basins where theyIncinerated the Dead Bodies of Chiefs or Kings . I dont think it is hard getting in on other times of the year just the 21 of December. It is a fascinating place getting more popular nowadays for visitors from all over the World.

As has been said, there is nothing to give back. Christmas will always exist in the hearts and minds of those who embrace it for its true meaning.
What we are already losing though is the world identity of Christmas - that is what needs to be returned. The "fear of offending" removing Christ from Christmas and the renaming of the season and purpose of Christmas. The date of celebration may well be chronologically wrong, but the purpose should remain genuine.

well no, coz Christmas isn't actually on the day of the birth of Christ, it's said that the Church adopted the 25th of December as Christ's birthday in order to convert more people to Christianity, and because the 25th was a Pagan festival. Besides, Christmas hasn't been taken from them, it's just been turned into a publicised scheme to sell products to the gullible public. But I love it. And Christians can still celebrate it as religiously as they please.

Hell Yes!!
Let's get rid of this silly 'Mass'. Christians can celebrate the Christ child on a date closer to his supposed birth in summer with all those hymns and prayers they seem to like. Since he was supposed to be born in poverty perhaps they'll fast too.
The rest of us, on the other hand, can have our Yuletide feasting, drinking and revelling in traditional manner on the winter solstice (21 December)!
I vote back Grandfather Frost too! Let's stuff 'Saint Nick' back in his woolly stockings with a bottle of Coke for once and for all I say!

That depends - are you then going to give it back to those that the Christians usurped it from in the first place?
(Hint: What does a decorated evergreen tree have to do with the birth of Jesus in a manger in Bethlehem?)

Well, Christmas was invented by the pre-Islamic Persians to celebrate the birth of the saviour-god, Mithra. So, shouldn't we give it back to the Persians?
Well, no. Actually, they still have it. It's called Shab-e-Yalda, the Night of Yalda.

Jesus Christ is God's gift to the whole world. He is for everyone. A King for the lowest of men to the highest of men! If you don't want Him, then just reject Him. Just like many others choose too. Peace out -n- God bless!
