I see alot of people say they don't accept evolution because it doesn't account for everything. Didn't these people have parents that warned them about people who had an answer for everything?

IF One calls the Name of Christ Jesus and Says that they are A Christian and continues to Disobey the WORD OF GOD...... Can Satan take them Captive? ? ?

(2Timothy 2:26) And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, WHO ARE TAKEN CAPTIVE BY HIM [satan] BY HIS WILL.

Thanks, RR

My hope is that my question will NOT offend anyone..if it does please accept my apology...it is not my purpose.

Questions for believers in God/Jesus: What is your (1) reason you believe in God/Jesus. I know you may have many reasons..but what's the single one that moves you to believe the God of the bible?

Question for Non-Believers in God/Jesus: What is the single reason you reject the idea of God/Jesus. What is your "rock" that you absolutely know that God/Jesus is a man-made concept etc.

Note: This is a question only for believers of God/Jesus or
Non-Believers of God/Jesus. I'm really not looking for answers like "I don't know either way"

Thanks for your answers!

I know of Flavius and Josephus but their accounts are very broad. Are there any more specific accounts, excluding, of course, those found in the Bible?
Thanks.

I know the crimes he commited. I feel sorry for him, though. If you knew you were going to be executed in less than an hour, wouldn't you regret what you did? If he truly regrets what he did, then God will have some mercy, correct? I know he deserves to burn in hell, but he should be shown some mercy. And I'm not a Liberal, by the way. I am just a nice person, who thinks everyone deserves some mercy and forgiveness in their life.

I see it every day...A Christian doesn't like something, so they immediately whip out their bible and use it as a shield and tool of hate. They cannot think and debate critically and logically, all they can do is bang on their bible and spew religious mumbo-jumbo.

Is this really what your religion is all about? No? Then why do so MANY practice it? It’s not just a few, but tens of thousands, in this country alone.

I look at you Christians, no matter what denomination, and I am so happy that I am atheist. I don’t have to worry about who to hate from one day to the next, or who to discriminate against. I just lean back in my comfortable seat of science, knowledge, logic and watch you religious fanatics waste your lives on hate a war, fighting and arguing over gods and bibles and religious doctrine.

Its actually funny, in a sick way.

I am a bit confused. In burma, if I understood right, they worshipped Buddah. But as I see it on some websites, Buddhists don't worship anything. They get enlightnment by meditating. (Or that is how I understand?) N if u don't worship Buddah, then who exactly is Buddah? N In burma, I saw that they worshipped to the monks too. I mean, they folded their hands and prostrated towards them. So, what I mean is, do they take the monks as something similar to God? N In burma, there was one other thing. Before the clock struck twelve, the monks used to come over to people's houses with a black round pot and people used to give them food. I don't mean all people. I mean the really relgious people used to give them food. So could someone pls just explain all of that? Oh yes, one more thing. there were also pictures of a female god available there. (I mean burma). who is she? an angel? or Buddah's mother? Do buddhists have a holy scripture? can i read it online 4 free. I'd also like websites. thx

I am truly mediting (praying) on this question. I have asked another question related to this one and based on the responses I don't think many people actually would. From all that I've seen of prophets writings, even the best of them were vague once compared to what actually happened.

So, would you recognize the saviour? Do you truly believe you are ready to see such a person?

Jesus said ..."Whoever blasphemes against the Father will be forgiven, and whoever blasphemes against the son will be forgiven, but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either on earth or in heaven."

… Apparently from this statement you can blasphemy against the father and son, but not the Holy Spirit, so if he is not the father who is he?

If you canj't accept that the universe came into being naturally, then something more powerful and complex must also have a maker. This is your logic, not mine.

Please no silly answers like he was always there, like the universe he must have some beginning.

I believe that he was created in the minds of men. Convince me that I'm wrong.
