You cannot. It is in the Old Testament. God is the same yesterday, today and forever. The ten commandments are timeless basic instructions for all God fearing people of all generations. God bless you.

This is found in the OLD testament...Moses was given them.
Exodus 20:1-7 or Deuteronomy 5:1-21 are the two areas the story is told. Have a blessed new year.

You won't find them there. The New Testament is only a small section taken from the end of the Bible. The Ten Commandments happened long before that time, so you will only find them in the Old. I am currently doing Bible Study and have learnt so many great things. If you are interested in the truths of the Bible and have questions that you are seeking answers for, like I am, then find yourself a Bible Study group and go for it. You won't regret it! :-)

As nearly everyone here has said, the ten commandments are in the Old Testament. What everyone here has not said is that they were all fulfilled by Christ and so we don't have to worry about them anymore. There are two commandments we should follow:
1. Love the lord thy God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength.
2. Love your neighbour as yourself.
When you obey these two you will not actually break the old testament laws.

The 10 Commandments aren't in the New Testament at all. They're found in the Old Testament books of Exodus and Leviticus.

Although the Decalogue as given in Exodus 20 is not given as such in the New Testament this does not negate the necessity of following all the laws in it. For Jesus said,"not a jot or tittle shall pass from the law" Matthew 5:17-19 Know what a tittle is? I have four versions of the Bible here. know Spanish? Know those little marks they put above their n’s that little enyay thing. It’s a little curvy line. That’s what Jesus is talking about here. He says, not even the smallest little line of the law is getting changed. The law isn’t changed. (Some of the decalogue is given in Luke 18:20)

The 10 Commandments aren't listed in the New Testament. However, they are referred to in Matthew 22. Jesus sums the 10 Commandments up in two basic commandments. The reason he sums them up in this way is because the first four Commandments are about how we relate to God and the last six Commandments are about how we are to relate to each other. Jesus also stated "If you love Me, keep my Commandments" amongst other references to the 10 Commandments.
