Because people have been brainwashed for 2000 years into believing the only "moral" people are Christian. But lets look at history and see what has been done in the name of Christ and God. More murders, rapes, slavery and destruction of the planet than by any other groups.

-If one argues, as some deeply non secular persons do, that devoid of God there could be no staggering acceptable and incorrect - specifically that God determines for us what's appropriate and incorrect - you are able to nevertheless then ask the question: what's God decreed that rape and homicide have been morally perfect ? might that cause them to so ? whilst some could desire to respond to definite, i think of maximum believers might say no, God would not make this sort of decree. yet why no longer ? possibly simply by fact God might have some *reason* for no longer making this sort of decree. lower back, possibly that's simply by fact *reason* skill that rape and homicide are actually not morally perfect. yet while God might could desire to allure to *reason*, then why don't you do away with the intermediary completely ?- Lawrence Krauss, A Universe From no longer something, Pgs 171-172. of direction.

Funny isn't it? They don't stop to think about all of the other cultures in the world before Christianity.... even before Judaism. Some completely ignore history and archeology and assume that they have all the answers because they believe in their Religion. If that isn't blind...........

that's a very good question and the answer is because they have been taught that people need religion and a higher being to live life correctly and that whoever isn't religious is immoral when in actuality that's not always the case at all i happen to find that these religious people tend to get into more trouble then non religious people such as agnostics such as myself and there's always the law of the land to keep people in check

One would have to be pretty stupid and ignorant to assume that. Who have you been talking to? There are other groups that condone such actions, however. Christianity doesn't, but that doesn't stop it either.

All religions teach the same basic moral values - dont kill, rape or steal, lie, cheat etc - where they differ is in their view of God
