What exactly is the form in which "lOVING CHRISTIANS" show their compassion?

For me, being transgendered, it's been in beatings, refusal of employment, nasty notes and other such tender reminders of their loving admonishments reproving what they consider to be a lifestyle. Being a Pagan as well, life even gets better when dealing with some of these characters.

The gentle reminders shown so often here are the tip of the iceberg.

Christ said that those who aren't for him are against him. I'd say that the lines seem quite clearly marked.

So, how many people have experienced such love and kindness? How many feel that these gentle and loving reminders are efficacious?

To be fair, it's not ALL Christians, but there is a MAJOR subset that is vocal or worse. It's these I'm wondering about. What are your experiences?

I like the Quran, I like that women have to obey me and that I could have sex with young girls, with a clear conscience. I also like that I can use violence to coerce people into agreeing with me. I'm not to sure about the Jihad part, since killing people around here is kind of illegal.

Can I be a true Muslim if I don't spread the faith by the sword? Is it possible to follow the steps of the Prophet (PBUH) if I'm unwilling to kill infidels?

"Fight in the way of Allah with those who fight with you and kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from whence they drove you out, and persecution is severer than slaughter." Quran 2.190-191.

Has anyone gone to the website, the secret.tv? It seems to be all the rave and a new way to get/put your life in order with visualization tools, video and audio. Has anyone heard about it? If so, I'm looking at getting more involved but I would like to have more "hands on" training with others as well as the videos, ect.

Does anyone know if there are groups to join?

Thanx

What I am referring to is religious liberty. I am a Christian and am disturbed by the attempt by so many Christian leaders to have a political influence on the U.S. government. The people who pressed so hard for religious freedom to be added as amendments were pastors and ministers, not secular government leaders. Now they are being undone by their descendants. They understood that Christianity remains pure when persecuted, but becomes corrupted when it finds a friend in human government. Just think of the recent scandals. Those people were supposedly religious. It does awful things to the name of Christ. People are told how to vote when they go to church! One early leader wrote (paraphrasing of course)That politicians should be selected not on their claim to be religious, but on their character, effectiveness, honesty, and integrity. Those will speak much more for what they stand for than words. Read more free articles at www.libertymagazine.org I hope this opens some people's eyes.

Thoughout the Religion / Spiritual sections we see questions posted concerning ones understandings of the Ten Commandments. Do we follow them, or live by them, or do we not. So, I ask. What does the following scripture mean?

In Colossians 2:14, we read; Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

Here's my thoughts on Jesus (of the Bible). Help me understand what I'm not seeing or understanding:

1. Was he God? There seems to be a disagreement within Christian circles...my point is, even the followers can't agree to WHO he is. <--What am I missing here?

2. Jesus came to save the world. I know most people accept the fact Jesus was a historical figure that existed and I believe he did exist. My question is why then if he had the most important message to madkind that could potentially save billions of humans from eternal hell-fire and torture did the message come in such vague and unprovable way. Even the followers don't agree on the most basic doctrines of faith. Why does he say: who so ever believes on ME shall have eternal life. Why is my life placed in such a postions of believing in a self described loving savior or the alternative is to burn for eternity for my lack of "belief" in Jesus. I'm have troble understanding the logic here.

Serious answers only please.

Every time i browse through my sky channels, i find loads of programmes all going on about the "exodus or the arc of the covenant or some ancient manuscript with lots of magick tricks in it, or Noah's ark has been found on some high hill top somewhere.
These programmes paint quite a gloomy picture for the future of man on this earth. So, can anyone let me have it, in a nutshell...
Whats happening????

I've been disappointed by the answers to my questions I've asked here. Where are the real Christian scholars? Do they have a website they debate on? (not trying to hate on you, I just feel like debating religion tonight)

Mav find it interesting how many Christians don't know who the Veggie Tales are...
Mav thinks before someone accuses her or them of being something they are not, you should use your handy dandy internet.

Mav off singing..

Thanks!

Sunnis disagree with Shites - Catholics disagree with Jews - Buhdists just want to be left alone - and Mormons disagree with just about everybody.

All this energy WASTED on our silly beliefs in invisible people in the sky.

Think about how throughout history we have KILLED scholars, Burned books and WAGED WARS against one another, in the name of whatever BOOK we happen to read.

Darwin was only half right - evolution is fact - WE just haven't evolved yet.

What does God's word, the Holy Bible, say those in heaven will be doing?

How is someone saved who has never heard God's word or even of God or Christianity? I'm a devout Christian, I wholeheartedly respect and accept everyone's beliefs, but stand strongly by my own. So, fellow Christians, how can someone be forgiven and redeemed by God if they've never heard of Him...? All appropriate opinions welcome. I look forward to your thoughts.
