What exactly is the form in which "lOVING CHRISTIANS" show their compassion?
For me, being transgendered, it's been in beatings, refusal of employment, nasty notes and other such tender reminders of their loving admonishments reproving what they consider to be a lifestyle. Being a Pagan as well, life even gets better when dealing with some of these characters.
The gentle reminders shown so often here are the tip of the iceberg.
Christ said that those who aren't for him are against him. I'd say that the lines seem quite clearly marked.
So, how many people have experienced such love and kindness? How many feel that these gentle and loving reminders are efficacious?
To be fair, it's not ALL Christians, but there is a MAJOR subset that is vocal or worse. It's these I'm wondering about. What are your experiences?

They claim they love the sinner and hate the sin, but that's not possible.
How can you love the person yet hate what *makes* him or her that person?
It is just a way they try to feel better about their hatred.

Deidre and Chicky,
Don't put the gentle reminders in the same breath as beatings and refusal of employment please. It would seem the Holy Spirit is haunting you through their witness! Your tone is slightly different here! Good. At least not the usual profanities and blaming Christians for murders and stuff. You all are getting more civilized the more you are around the children of the light. We are praying for you!
I have no doubt that there isn't a Christian here who in the flesh might be repulsed. In their spirit be cautioned as to the spiritual battle taking place. Nevertheless, there's not a true Christian who wouldn't put their arms around you and pray with you to know the love of God in a real way. I'm so sorry you can't comprehend the real nature of God's love. I really feel inadequate. He hates sin and He loves you but you don't have to stay in bondage to sin. There's no excuse to refuse His provision for liberty. You can be free by the blood of His Son Jesus which was shed for you and I on Calvary. I don't look down on you. Most Christians have pasts that they aren't proud of is why. Notice "such WERE some of you" and he's talking to born again Christians.

We do the same thing you do. We speak out for what we love and against what we do not like. The difference is that gay ppl think that for anyone to voice an opinion that does not condone homosexuality is a HUGE crime.
We do not hate the sinner...we are sinners saved by grace...
Our GOD Hates the sin and therefore so do we.
You can take this as one of your tongue-in-cheek "gentle reminders" or you can take it just like I mean it. Don't be so quick to find a reason to be offended. What we offer the homosexual community is far better than what all the "yes men" or "politically correct" ppl in the world are offering you.

Violence at least I could handle. My experiences have been far more insidious. As a pagan, and one taht is very VERY outsopken I have had problems of a legal nature, spending 3 years on probation becasue the local law enforcement framed me for an assault that never took place and when the religious issue was raised it had more bearing on the case than the fact that there was no actual proof that anything had actully occured (my being pagan was in the police report of the incident) while a person that was being arraigned that same day on his third violation of probation for narcotics and firearms possession was given an extention rahter than jail simply because he claimed that he had become born again and was attending services at one of the larger churches in the area.

simply by fact many Christian church homes dislike GLBT... I stay interior the country that hosts Vatican city, and the Pope has been between the main opposers of gay marriage or civil partnership here, and thanks to him now our love can not be legally regarded... final twelve months, the Holy See stated no to the usually happening depenalization of homosexuality on the United countries In Uganda, the Church is pushing the State with a view to re-introduce the loss of life penalty for homosexuals Many Christian church homes have created considered one of those scientific care and camps with a view to treatment homosexuals (yet this in simple terms led to many psychological damages to those people who had those "remedies") And the checklist can go on and on... Bye

Jesus did not come to condemn the world but that the world through him might be saved. What did we need to be saved from though? People who don’t acknowledge that they have sin in their lives can go on to another answer because you won’t agree with me, but there are those of us who know that if there is a God then we don’t belong in his presence, and if he is Holy then we belong in hell. Because he died for us we know we are forgiven and even if we don’t deserve to go to heaven we will go there when we die because of what he did. Those who call themselves by his name and only show hatred for their fellow man, haven’t faced their own sin and do not truly believe that he has forgiven them, so their actions don’t reflect the love of God for mankind. What Jesus said is true and if we don’t repent of sin we will go to hell because God is holy and if we continue in making unholy choices then we’re in essence saying we don’t believe in him or we don’t want to stop. But he has given us his word and if we will come to him in faith then he will cleanse us from sin and make us new creatures.

Let me be the first to apologize on behalf of all Christians, that is not the way they should act. I love you for who you are, but I do not love your actions.

Jesus Christ teaches us to love "All" our brothers and sisters. To treat them as you would treat him.
Sorry but those people that abused you were not true Christians as they didnt follow his way.
