I like the Quran, I like that women have to obey me and that I could have sex with young girls, with a clear conscience. I also like that I can use violence to coerce people into agreeing with me. I'm not to sure about the Jihad part, since killing people around here is kind of illegal.

Can I be a true Muslim if I don't spread the faith by the sword? Is it possible to follow the steps of the Prophet (PBUH) if I'm unwilling to kill infidels?

"Fight in the way of Allah with those who fight with you and kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from whence they drove you out, and persecution is severer than slaughter." Quran 2.190-191.

In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.

And fight in the way of Allah against those who fight against you, but do not transgress. Surely, Allah loves not the transgressors.

And if they incline towards peace, incline thou also towards it, and put thy trust in Allah. Surely, it is He Who is All-Hearing, All-Knowing.

Holy Quran

Praise be to Allah who established Islam and made it easy for those who approach it and gave strength to its columns against any one who tries to overpower it. So Allah made it (a source of) peace for him who clings to it, safety for him who enters it, argument for him who speaks about it, witness for him who fights with its help, light for him who seeks light from it, understanding for him who provides it, sagacity for him who exerts, a sign (of guidance) for him who perceives, sight for him who resolves, lesson for him who seeks advice, salvation for him who testifies, confidence for him who trusts, pleasure for him who entrusts, and shield for him who endures.

It is the most bright of all paths, the clearest of all passages. It has dignified minarets, bright highways, burning laps, prestigious field of activity, and high objective. It has a collection of race horses. It is approached eagerly. Its riders are honourable. Testimony (of Allah, Prophet etc.) is its way, good deeds are its minarets, death is its extremity, this world is its race-course, the Day of Judgement is its horses and Paradise is its point of approach.

A part of the same sermon about the Holy Prophet

The Prophet lighted flames for the seeker and put bright signs for the impeded. So he is Thy trustworthy trustee, Thy witness on the Day of Judgement, Thy deputy as a blessing and Thy messenger of truth as mercy. My Allah distribute to him a share from Thy Justice and award him multiples of good by Thy bounty. My Allah heighten his construction over the constructions of others, honour him when he comes to Thee, dignify his position before Thee, give him honourable position, and award him glory and distinction, and bring us out (on the Day of Judgement) among his party, neither ashamed, nor repentant, nor deviators, nor pledge-breakers, nor strayers, nor misleaders. nor seduced.

islam is not spread by da word of sword
Each and every human being in this world is not in favour of maintaining peace and harmony. There are many, who would disrupt it for their own vested interests. Sometimes force has to be used to maintain peace. It is precisely for this reason that we have the police who use force against criminals and anti-social elements to maintain peace in the country. Islam promotes peace. At the same time, Islam exhorts it followers to fight where there is oppression. The fight against oppression may, at times, require the use of force. In Islam force can only be used to promote peace and justice.

Muslims were the lords of Arabia for 1400 years. For a few years the British ruled, and for a few years the French ruled. Overall, the Muslims ruled Arabia for 1400 years. Yet today, there are 14 million Arabs who are Coptic Christians i.e. Christians since generations. If the Muslims had used the sword there would not have been a single Arab who would have remained a Christian.
n yea killing ppl 4 no reason is also illegal in islam n u gotta read da translation of da quran more properly!

My dear, you have a truly hateful nature. Of all of us 1.6 billion and growing Muslims in the world, how many do you think are terrorists/?

We are taught to kill no innocent person, and the above mentioned verse is during a time of war and that to be oppressed is worse than death. If you had added the verse that followed that one- it would tell you that we are not allowed to kill anyone with whom a peace agreement had been reached.

Obviously, Islam is not only "spread by the sword" - look at the great number of converts in recent years , especially in the United States and explain that to me.

I will leave you in peace, and hope that you at least give yourself an even education about islam- you dont have to like it, but you could at least give some real facts, other than misquoted verses of the Qur'an (which you have taken out of their meanings) Thanks.

See if you read that last verse well and without explaining it in a stereotypical form you will understand it! Fight if you are being fought against! Islam is a peaceful religion, but like everything in life there are consequences for ones actions. Don't just pick up points that sound good to you and go with them. The Quran is not that shallow!

If you convert to Islam and choose to ignore what you clearly know and understand as a tenant of Islam, you would be choosing intentionally to become a very crappy follower of a very violent cult. Based on what I do know of Islam, I feel it is safe to suggest that the true followers would have every right to kill you, based on the fact that you doubt; and knowingly disregard the quran. You obviously do not currently have a clear conscience about having sex with young girls, and simply want some shield to hide behind in hopes of gaining selfish pleasure. It is apparent that your existing morality knows something about right and wrong, and you do not totally agree with their morals, even though neither of the two sets are in proper working order.

You wouldn't be a very good muslim if you didn't kill infidels like the rest of them!

Lemme guess, daddy beat and molested you as a child making you feel powerless and that's why you feel the need to push women around! Either that or you're so hideous looking that women can't stand to even look at you let alone have sex with you! You're probably a puny little guy that no one listens to and that's why you think you need violence to get people to agree with you.

Yep, you'll be a martyr, that's what they want, but you get all those sweet virgins.
Some "peaceful" religion, huh? Read the Qu'ran, it's full of hateful nonsense.
