The Hindus have hundreds of statues each attempting to explain a facet of GOD.
If GOD is beyond imagination then do we not need statues in vast unimaginable numbers?
This is what we see in India.

atheist: There is not enough evidence to show that there are weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

Christian: But there is a lack of evidence to support the claim that there is not enough evidence of WMD in Iraq so obviously there are WMDs in Iraq.

Is that how GW Bush proved it.

I get questions challenged because they are allegedly "Not a Question or Answer"

Following the layout in the question posed above why,n would
inserting an inquiry with a religious flavor make it a non question?

This thIs complaint thingy just a ploy to get quetions not to the liking of a religionist deleted?

You can sympathize, and you can empathize, but you can never really understand how another person is experiencing their pain. You can be right next to someone and be a million miles away from them.

Considering the religious aspect of modern day Christmas is centered around Christianity. If they do, how do Hindu's and Buddhist's celebrate this holiday? Their religions are obviously completely different from Christianity, so of they do, do they only celebrate the commercial aspect, or are there traditions as well?

I have heard this phrase used a few times by my Anglican family but can't understand why the faith is romantic. Has anyone else heard this term used, and if so what is meant by it?

Thanks.

I was reading a post earlier and the person said "BTW - Mormons ARE Christians".

I know that the general idea is that all of these faiths are one in the same, but if you do research, you find that they are all very very different.

In fact, one of the only things that we have in common is that we all believe in one God, and we believe in Jesus. (Which other faiths do as well)

As a Christian, I dont believe in any part of the Mormonism or the Catholic beliefs, and while I respect you if you DO believe in these things, why cant you be "OK" with calling your faith what it is? We are confusing enough as it is without having those who pray to Mary and those who follow Joseph Smith telling everyone they are "Christians".

Please explain why

1. These faiths are all assumed to be "one"
2. The Catholics and Mormons insist on being called "Christian".
3. Why is it not enough to be a "Mormon" or a "Catholic".

Thanks!

I ask because of the many question and answers I have seen here on this forum. I find it strange that so many question evolution and it's scientific basis. It almost seems as if people in the USA have been taught that creation thoery to be fact.

Here in the uk, it's a given that evolution is fact. And many christians and holy people also take this as fact. Here it isn't a question of evolution V creation. Both have a place in the minds of people and do not seem to clash. I am a scientist, and some of my coleagues are devout christians and they don't seem to question it. They just accept that evolution is fact yet god also created life.

There isn't enough evidence to support the claim that there is not enough evidence to support the claim that there is a god....

Ok, so a "catholic" man passes away. I use the work catholic in quotes because he was raised a catholic, baptized, confirmed, and married (the first time) in the catholic church... However, he cheated on his first wife, re-married, uses drugs, treats his children terribly and never attends church. should he have a christian mass and burial? if not, what are the other alternatives?
