I think it's a great story and all teaches good morals (sometimes) but I just can't take it literally. Really it's all symbolism in my opinion. It does freak me out when people think it's real.

Don't you know that you have to answer for every single word you say on judgement day. Don't be foolish. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. See Romans 6:23 - God's free gift offer.

Ok, you have to be a Jehova's witness to get into heaven, but only 144,000 people get into heaven. As of right now, there are over 6 million Jehova's Witnesses.

Already, most of them are not going to heaven. So why would you join their religion, knowing you won't go to heaven?

AND WHY AR THEY RECRUITING NEW MEMBERS??? They are only hurting their chances of getting in. Why didn't they stop after they had 144,000 Jehova's Witnesses?

I am not gonna even mention the fact that they wake me up. They are just trying to be nice, but they should stop after the first time.

are the qualities I find in Christianity's story of Jesus Christ. It seems perfect because my favorite movies (lord of the rings, matrix, books by C.S. Lewis) reflect similar qualities. Is that perhaps a reason why humans find Christianity attractive? The story is also like a fairy tale: is that why some find it hard to believe and reject it. does it seem to unrealistic? or for things to happen the way God wanted them to happen, isn't it perfection?

I heard Adventistd teach that souls cease existing in hell, but no one actually goes anywhere when they're dead, they have to wait until they are resurrected (dead people are incapable of recieving heaven or hell).

How demeaning and hurtful that would be to someone who has followed God faithfully and had similar, if not worse, tragedies what recieved no devine intervention?

I guess you'll pull some religious mumbo jumbo out of your azz as an answer, but to me it shows that it's people who label regular acts of chance, the work of God.

they drank wine like it was water (ie they were alcoholics) and when the wine was gone all Jesus did was have water in his eyes cause it was all gone and then he turned it into wine ie he was wining that there was no booze left.

Question is: Is that blasphemy or just a good joke?

Why would an all-loving God want tens of millions of people to suffer and die from smallpox over the last 4,000 years, and then suddenly decide to "divinely inspire" a cure in the twentieth century? If that explanation is true, then God is clearly a sadist. Only a sadist would cause the suffering of smallpox for thousands of years when he had a "divinely inspired" cure waiting in the wings. Why would we want to worship a sadist?

(to find the true answer, go to www.whydoesgodhateamputees.com and look at Chapter 7. Actually, the entire website explains and answers a lot of questions people have about atheism.)

I would warn some of you to be very careful what you say about the Lord Jesus Christ and His word, the Bible. God (Jesus Christ) is infinite in His wisdom and power.
Do you understand this?
