There is nothing that says you cant, you should share the bible with everyone around you, even strangers. Go in Christ

Fear of the unknown
there is no proof that Jesus lived or died
I envy people like you that believe so strongly in a story from a book
with no actual evidence you will commit all your time and energy trying to get others to believe the same as you do
that goes for all religions
it is just totally wrong that people cant have there beliefs without ridicule from others that have probably never read or heard of the new testament

Obviously you can talk to people about Jesus. You're basically doing it with this post. What a lot of Christians don't realize is that not everyone wants or needs to be converted to your faith.

I grew up in a Christian church and went to church my entire life. It taught me a valuable lesson. If I die and get to heaven only to be surrounded by the people I went to church with, it wouldn't take long before I'd beg god to send me to hell. I was never able to stand Christians for 2 1/2 hours in church, let alone for an eternity.

When it comes down to it, I'd rather just die and rot in the ground than waste my life pondering the existence of heaven, hell, god, Jesus and the devil. Not to be rude, but there's not a damn thing you can do to change it. It's a matter of free choice and I choose to ignore Christians the same way I ignore people who tell me smoking is bad.

Basically, I already know what you are going to say and I don't want to hear it. Moreover, telling me anyway isn't going to do much more than piss me off. I'm not saying don't talk about it; I'm saying don't try and force feed me your beliefs.

who said you couldn't? it's just the way you go about doing it that's the problem.
nobody likes to be forced into anything
If somebody came to your door and started spouting some gospel that you didn't agree with, would you really listen to what they had to say and seriously consider changing your whole belief system?
and plus there are so many Christians who live such hypocritical lives that people won't take them seriously.

i am a Christian and am guilty of this but really the best way to tell people about Jesus is to just live your life the way God wants and people will notice.

Some people are told that it's their duty to "witness" to others about their religion. Interesting word, witness. Because most of the people that "witness" haven't literally witnessed anything, they're just repeating what they were taught to say.

If you really have some knowledge, trust me, people will be eager to hear it. If you're just parroting and reciting people aren't likely to be interested.

You want to share Jesus? Live a decent life, observe the principles of your faith. People will notice. That will mean more than anything you can say. Actions speak louder than words.

If you live in America you can talk till your hearts content. Just don't talk to me about it. I was raised in a christian family and I have had enough to last a lifetime. Make sure others you talk to want to hear about Jesus. Otherwise you are infringing on THEIR rights.

You can, but need to make sure the person you are talking to wants to hear about Jesus first!

Honestly?
because for most of us, you'll be about the ten thousandth person who's tried - we're tired of hearing it again and again and again. Eventually, we just tell you to go away in a very impolite fashion. Why do preachers always come to my door when I'm in the bath? would you like to meet my dog?
We've all had the opportunity to READ the word, we don't need you, really we don't.
If you are happy with your god and your belief system - good for you. Now leave me to mine.
