No, people don't always get their just desserts. There is no posthumous judgment. There is only human justice, and human justice is flawed. Still, it's all we have, and it's better than chaos.

You ask:
"Do people really get what they deserve?
Good or bad, I mean.
Always here on Earth?
Or sometimes only after death?"

My Reply:

From other people? .. Sometimes.
From God? ... Never.
You see ...

No matter how good we may try to be, we can never measure up to God's perfect standards without His HELP.
He doesn't owe that to us, but chooses to help those who try their hardest to qualify to be in His family, due to true love & appreciation for Him & His provisions for us, not the least off which is Christ's Sacrifice.

Also, No matter how attrocious a person might choose to be, they are not treated in kind by God. Even though he may allow others to cause them harm & agony, it does not come from Him. When that one dies, he is not tortured, but merely becomes non-existant. He would have to be saddistic to keep them alive in order to torture them, don't you think? Would you want to worship or have to rely on someone like that?

It depends on their outlook on life-what they think is right and wrong. I think that only people who are oblivious to the world don't get what they deserve because of how they feel towards it. But when people do get what they deserve, it's on Earth (that's what I believe). I think that people who deserve goodness but don't seem to get it, actually do benefit from not getting it because it makes them a better person, so then they do get what they deserve. I hope this makes sense.

No. God says that we all sin fall short of the Glory of God. He says that in spite of that He loves us and if we accept His love and forgiveness and agree to be like Him and allow Him to change then He will forgive the sin and save us as it pleases Him. I don't know about you but when I think of the mean things I've done and thought and the disregard and selfishness I have shown to others I know that I do not deserve the love of God and am even more grateful for it and His promise to change me and make me more like Him.

Deserving has nothing to do with anything. Although I will say that in the long run if you do what's wrong eventually it probably will catch up with you. Either the world or your concious will make you miserable.

No, at least here on earth, many people get away with murder, and are even rewarded for their bad deeds. from a religious point of view, it makes sense: if everybody got punished for being bad, we would all be good out of fear, whereas the true purpose of any religion worth its salt is to make us be good out of a true desire to be good.
