After discussing religion, someone will often say this to me. I find myself getting frustrated with it but I'm not sure why.

Does this upset anyone else? If so, why?

or something less traditional? Do you just speak to the Lord like He's your friend? Or do you need to recite scripture? Do you say long, drawn-out graces?

The funniest grace I've ever heard is my Godmother's:

Good bread, good meat, Good Lord, let's eat! Amen. LOL...

100yrs is basically what you get of life "if" everything goes exceptionally well health-wise for you. So basically all that time between death and birth you spend degenerating back into dirt. Even the most healthy among us deal with common ailments on a daily basis such as back pain, tooth ache, and etc..... People are dying every 12 seconds according to some statistics. Crime is rampant like never before in human history. Our jail cells are over-crowed. Mysterious illnesses with no cures are everywhere. War never ceases in our world. The silent killer,stress, is ruining everyone's health to some degree or another. Fear and hatred dictates people actions and responses to the world outside. How in the hell can any sane person say everything is fine. If you think your gonna continue to live in your "cave" and "drink and be merry", you are most pitiful of us all. for my co-worker's mom. She had a stroke earlier and now my co-worker has to leave to attend to her. Please pray that everything will be okay or atleast that she will get through this.

And where did we come from, because god made adam and eve, and they had 2 sons if they were the only humans made, then where did every1 else come from, i mean after cain killed abel, then where did cain find a wife, and make a family, this is all still unclear to me.

Would he be labled a fruitcake and none would believe him? The bible is made up of chapters written thousands of years ago by men. Supposedly it's God's word. So what happens when a man claims God spoke his word and wanted this guy to add it to the Bible...would you religious freaks believe him? How can you say God didn't speak to this guy?

Im here ALOT. I posed this question on 3 yahoo forums, cant get anyone to help me, maybe someone here can. I have asked questions today, but none of them have posted to the board, at all (check out my old profile), and NOW they are all deleted, having violated the guidelines, wich they did not, anyone who knows my presence on this board will know I am careful about it.

I just want to see the tyranical Christians racing across the continents, killing and burning everything in their path...GO CHRISTIANS!!! I really feel that it's wrong when other religions kill for the sake of God, but when the Christians do it...it is the will of God and is moral and just. God used to interact with humans all the time. Sending prophets, parting seas, impregnating people.... Now, nothing. He doesn't even talk to us anymore. Except of course to the mentally insane. I'm saying, God, what's up with that?!

If you need to acknowledge christ as your savior before you get into heaven, does that mean that everyone in the history of mankind that came before jesus was born went to hell automatically? Cause that's just silly...sillyer than like...the whole concept of religion itself that is.

Ok, you can debate weather or not he was the son of God, or weather God even exists, but it surprises me how many people I have seen lately who have said that Jesus "might have existed" or "never existed." Actually, the Romans kept very accurate records, and they have the record of many accounts simialr to those from the Gospels of Jesus ministry and his death, and also accounts of the commotion that was created when a crowd of over 500 people "claimed" to have seen him walking around after he had been crucified. You ask me to show you proof? I have posted these links before, and I will do it again here now, but the fact is if you want to know the truth you will actively seek it for yourself. This is the stuff they don't teach you in history class people...

hi, years ago my church did a play and it was acted out to a piece of music in which jesus and the devil fight. the devil thinks he has won till jesus sorts him out, it was really powerful i can not remember wot it was called for the life of me, any suggestions

Why do you call your priest father, when the Bible tells you not to?
Call no man Father apoun the earth, for such is your Father in Heaven.Please do not tell me that your priest is your spiritual father on earth. Context dictates that very thing. Call no-man (spiritaul) father on earth. God does not expect you to call your priest father in the secular since right? So if you do then it could only be in the spirit form. Just wondering
