You gotta do what you gotta do. I don't understand why anyone would want to be either but if you must choose between the two then YOU must choose. I think I remember something about Jesus bring divisions with households, setting brother against braother and father against son.

You can still love them as a Christian. I am not christian so hopefully you don't see this as a means to convert. How can they love you if they would so easily disown you. If the are true believers in their faith, and do love you maybe they should take the time to talk to you about it. Respect your wishes though different than yours and let you be the designer of your own fate.

I think that's great that you want to know Christ in this way you can pray for your family and they too can come to know Him personally. I understand that this is a very difficult decision. I know a guy who was born in the Mideast and for 37 years he was a muslim, but it was not working for him. He wanted more and he enjoyed the fact that Christ saved him from his sins and he became born again. His family disowned him but he prayed fervently for them and now they have a talking relationship now. He prays for them and show them the love of Christ, not fighting with them, just loving them and they came to respect his decision. Now his brother is interested in the Lord. I say that whatever God is speaking to your heart, obey Him before it's too late. He may be using you to reach your family and the muslim community. Like God used Paul to reach the Jews and Roman gentiles. God bless you.

Your spiritual journey is yours, alone.
No one can force you to feel or believe, what they believe.
You must make the journey, yourself.
If you do NOT agree with the Islam religion, then you must find what you believe in.
You must be true to yourself first.

Don't let anything keep you from following God. Your family might react badly at first, but given time, you might be able to lead them to Christ. I'll pray for you. God Bless.

Change, if you are sure that that is what you want to do, your family love you and should still talk to you and care for you no matter what religion you are.
