for my co-worker's mom. She had a stroke earlier and now my co-worker has to leave to attend to her. Please pray that everything will be okay or atleast that she will get through this.

The bible states that when to or more come together in agreement he is in the midst. Heavenly father I come to you today asking for you will to be done in this situation I ask that you give this family strenght and inner peace to endure these troubling times, lord you told us to cast our burdens on you and lord I give this one to you lord God I ask and pray that you bind up every illness and sickness in this womans body lord God you are a merciful God A God That knows all. I ask that you watch over this family to be with this family and to walk with this family. I come together in agreement with this fellow follwer today asking in your son Jesus Christ name AMEN.

Although this could get reported, I hope people will show compassion and not report it as abuse.
Your co-worker's mom is in my prayers.
Please pray for my wife, too. She goes in for a cancer biopsy next Wednesday.

No, I won't. This is not a prayer forum.
So god could help her situation at any moment. But he sits there waiting for us to pray to do so. How many people would he need to change his mind and actually help her? Is this really how you conceive of your god? Scary stuff.
Imagine that I, a doctor, am sitting in a rocking chair next to an exposed wire and watch a 6 year old kid walk up to the wire and just sit and watch as the kid sticks it in his mouth and half of his face melts. Then the parents run up to their child and try to make him comfortable. Then they look over to me, ask me to help, and I continue to rock in my chair. They get 200 friends to implore me to help, so I stand up from my chair. I operate on the kid and he is all better. Am I a benevolent being? or a megalomaniac?
