Some Christians refer to Jesus as their personal savior rather than say, savior of the world. Is this prideful arrogance?

It's interesting that the Old Testament God almost always dealt with people as groups rather than as individuals. For example, the whole human race took the rap for Adam & Eve's sin. All humans, except Noah and company, were drowned in the flood. All the firstborn of Egypt were struck dead in Moses' time including innocent babies.

When we sinned we became hostages of satan, God gave His only begotten son for us. There was no benefit for God other than demonstrating His grace in saving us. We were helpless. "He died not for our sins only, but for the sins of the whole world." CHRIST DID NOT DIE JUST FOR THE SO CALLED GOOD PEOPLE, OR THOSE WHO THINK THEY ARE BETTER THAN OTHERS. CHRIST DIED FOR ALL PEOPLE, THAT'S RIGHT, ALL PEOPLE, SO THAT ALL PEOPLE COULD CHOOSE TO ACCEPT HIS GRACE OR NOT. So stop telling people that God is out to judge and condemn them. Stop thinking you are better, because you live so holy, sure it is good to obey God, but Christ's sacrifice is still just as strong for the sinful people you despise, as it is for your goody two shoe friends. It's all about Christ and His sacrifice, not you and your service. We have to applaud Christ and His sacrifice on our behalf, not our efforts to serve Him.When we put God first, and not put ourselves above others, then they will hear agree?

Just curious! I've never been one, I've always know that there is a God, even as a small child. Even though I was raised in a non-believing household.

long ago i saw it in the national geo channel.
a remote place in india, i think, were some sort of strange guys, have a strange storage area where they keep a secret letter about many persons of this world.
they won't give it to anybody but you....if you are in their list.
they have your name, your whereabouts, and somehow know you although you have never seen them.
you go , you pick it up and read it.
the reporter didn't say a word of what it was written for him, but he showed the place and everything....
i saw this documentary years ago, and can't remember more...
do you have any idea how this is call or where exaclty it it ?

I am not a very Religious person, but I grew up Catholic and I now despise Catholicism. Can anyone tell me how many and what Religions are older and maybe more believable than Catholicism? Also, what "bibles" or testaments are the oldest?

Atheist fanatics like to say, "Atheism is one WITHOUT the belief in God(s). When you are first born, you have no belief in anything so technically, you are an atheist." Now obviously this is not a very good definition of atheism since it is not specific. I mean, you can't use a lesser definition of atheism just to promote atheist awareness or whatever. What's to stop people from saying animals are atheist or fertilized eggs are atheist? This should be the only definition of atheism that atheists use:

a·the·ism
1.the doctrine or belief that there is no God.
2.disbelief in the existence of a supreme being or beings.

I think atheist fanatics like to push their agenda in places where it's unnecessary to be pushing it.

Thinking of converting to a religion that offers all of the following.... can you help?
1) I do not have to attend any religious services at all whatsoever, ever
2) I don't have to contribute anything - financially or otherwise
3) I don't have to give up anything in order that I can be saved
4) I will be given a place in a 'afterlife' irrespective of anything I have said and done whilst I'm still alive
5) I don't have to believe in a specific creator/God/Allah etc
6) I don't have to read any scientifically unproven historical book or take it as being gospel
7) I don't have to believe in anything except what I want to believe in to be part of the religion
8) A religion that contributes to my finances and well being
9) A religion that has no hierarchy, is not organised, and does not want to convert anyone to their beliefs
10) A religion that in its history has never killed a single human in the name of that religion
Just Interesting... from an agnostic view point

How do you think the universe started? As an Atheistic Modern Satanist, I belive that there is a LOGICAL explaination on how it all started, the only thing is that the human mind is just not intelligent enough to comprehend the whole thing, just like how an ant cannot understand quantum science. Do you agree, or do you think otherwise like the univere had existed forever?

What of the concept of a human Soul? Scientifically we are nothing but a bunch of chemical reactions when you get down to it.

So does it scare you that your actions now reading and writing this are nothing but chemical reactions? You have no Choice in the matter?

Upon death according to you we just die. We no longer exist are passing will go unnoticed through the sand of time. How do you go on living then if ...
One you know you are nothing in this universe because you are not really reading this you are just reacting to it and
Two you won't ever exist when this is over? On your (rotting bed) because your Not on Death Bed since Death bed implies souls, what will you think to yourself?
You are about to just rot away no one cares because they are nothing but a bunch of chemicals reacting to each other.
Is this really how you exist?
