because back then if you were married and your wife could not have children you could 'bring' in a 'new' wife that you could have children with.

Contrary to popular belef, there are contradictions in the Bible.
For instance, the bible says that God considered David a man after his own heart, but David was a murder, sending a man into battle to get killed, so David could get his wife.
Also, the Bible says that Solomon was the worlds wisest man, but he had over 700 wives. How wise is that?
Not very. A bit greedy too.

It doesn't. When Abraham tried this he ended up with two sons. One birthed the nation of Israel and the Other was the father of the Arabs. There's been nothing but trouble ever since. A little sin goes along way!

It doesn't say it's OK anywhere in the bible.
Abraham and Sarah pulled that stunt back in the day and we're paying $3.00 for a gallon of gas today because of it.
Not a good idea at all.
