Thinking of converting to a religion that offers all of the following.... can you help?
1) I do not have to attend any religious services at all whatsoever, ever
2) I don't have to contribute anything - financially or otherwise
3) I don't have to give up anything in order that I can be saved
4) I will be given a place in a 'afterlife' irrespective of anything I have said and done whilst I'm still alive
5) I don't have to believe in a specific creator/God/Allah etc
6) I don't have to read any scientifically unproven historical book or take it as being gospel
7) I don't have to believe in anything except what I want to believe in to be part of the religion
8) A religion that contributes to my finances and well being
9) A religion that has no hierarchy, is not organised, and does not want to convert anyone to their beliefs
10) A religion that in its history has never killed a single human in the name of that religion
Just Interesting... from an agnostic view point

I thaught I couldnt answer this one.
But here it is................,
I wish ..........
1. I dont have to attend any office/ company to offer my services at all whatsoever, ever...
2. I dont have to contribute anything- financially or otherwise [like Tax etc]
3. I dont have to give up anything in order that I can be saved ...from a bullet of a terrorist or an enemy or a friend.
4. I will be given a place in a 'afterlife' irrespective of anything I have said and done whilst I,m still alive.....and will not be punished by any court of law nomatter how henious crime I would have commited.
5.I dont have to believe in a specific creator/God/Allah...and dont have to believe in any authority whatsoever on the earth too.
6. I dont have to read any scientifically unproven historical book or take it as being gospel and dont have to believe in hypothetical theories which are yet to proved scientifically like Big-Bang theory and theory of evolution etc.
7. I dont have to believe in anything except what I want to believe [ like the world is full of idiots, except me ]
8. A religion that contributes to my finances and well being....a religion followed by the Mafia Don Godfather and religion of drug dealers, for example....
9. A religion that has no hierarchy, is not organised and does not want to convert any one to thier beliefs ....like that of man eaters of Zambessy.
10. A religion that in its history has never killed a single humen in the name of that religion.... like a nation which in its history has never fought a war and killed a single human being..in the name of nationalism.
Just curious like you...Boring O F......

Most religions have to attened religious servise
Most religions contribute something- financially or otherwise
Most religions give up something in order to be saved
If you do bad you'll go to hell, and if you do good you'll go heaven (it ain't all that, theres more too it)
All religions believe in a God....
Most relgions have a 'holy' book
Most religions have something that they believe in
In every religion, there is someone that has killed a human.... there is not a single religion, that has never killed any one....
(If not most then all religions)
To end this, why are you still living if you want this religion? You won't always get what you want... stick to what you already have.... why ask for something that is impossible?

I think the answer is Buddhism. It meets all your criteria except numbers 4 and 8. With regard to 4 - well, Buddhists don't believe in an "afterlife" as such, but that you are reincarnated, and the new life will depend partly on what you have done in this one. But no-one is "punsihing you" - it's up to you to choose to do good or evil.
Number 8 is asking a lot - well, it will contribute to your general well-being, though not necessarily financial - maybe it will help you realise that money isn't that important? Additionally, most Buddhist sanghas (communities) would not charge you anything to teach you - even going on retreat for a few days is mostly funded by donation, and you don't have to say or be a Buddhist to practice meditation etc!
May all be well and happy!

It's called being a lazy bastard, and it's the majority religion in the UK. Don't believe the claims for atheism - they fail on counts 8, 9 (worse the Jehovah's Witnesses) and 10 (undisputed world champions).
There is a flaw in this religion. Under item 4, the welcome you receive in the afterlife might be a little warmer than you had expected.

Sounds heavenly[oops] Perhaps you could set it up, It could be called Utopitarianism or Agnostianity, however I am afraid this would break rule 9.Still I think I am subscribing to this way of thinking already.Does being part of the welfare system and the nanny state qualify me for rule8 l wonder?

It's not religion.
Just different community has different ancestor's custom.
It's our creator's universal gifts of life living human kind with self prides, self lack of knowledge and self discrimination were all running away from in making a monkey out of themselves living in misery blindly following the Piped Piper's tune of "My way"
At loss the piped piper were still primitive with clubs on their shoulders still living in caves in planet of apes.
At loss Batman and Robin of the west and the Joker of the east were blind as a bat in planet of apes.
With the blind in leading the blind in playing the merry-go-round happily singing 'Here we go round the mulberry bush" in planet of apes.

Lots of people worship a god of their own making everyday. I spent a good number of years praying to a god that did not exist.
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."
John 3:16
See how much better that is?

From my perspective....you might want to believe first of all in yourself.
Once you trust yourself, you will be able to accomplish whatever you choose.
Your belief in any form of a Higher Power is decided by you and how you choose to live/belief...and/or whatever path you decide to walk is up to you.
Peace!
