I was trying to get on a plane but my guy friend would'nt let me.

He made me sit on some concrete steps,I had lost my pants[!] and was trying to cover up my legs.He was staring at me.

I sat one step higher than him then eventually I stepped down to his step and then he kissed me.

I tried to cover my legs and he said it didnt matter that he liked them the way they were.

If only the bible could have as many prophecies fulfilled as Nostradamus did. Wouldn't that be great?

Just yesterday I found out that a girl I went to school with commited suicide. (this is like the third one in less than a year that I know of :-( From what I was told she was going through a very nasty divorce and had already lost custody of her two kids, and had recently lost her job and was facing eviction (she had substance abuse issues too). The coroner reported that she had died from a combination of medication and alcohol. There was an empty bottle of Vodka next to her bed where she was discovered (they are not sure if she downed the whole bottle but it is likely). I remember her from high school, she was a really gifted athlete, I can't believe that she did this. I'm really hoping that she just passed out, and didn't actually suffer.

I am not Christian, but I would like a few Christian points of view on this one. My husband has been saved and baptised (well, I have too, for that matter). He says that once you have been, you are going to heaven. That God does not take back salvation. Kinda makes a little sense. But, I think, that if there is a heaven that you have to set an example, and live a Christian lifestyle. That you can't just say forgive me, then do whatever you want. How do you believe? Please explain why.

OK, so the Devils main goal is to get people to become un-believers (if that is not true please, enlighten me). How does this help him and/or why does he do this? Is it just to spite God, or does this give him more power? So it is my understanding that he can't really "win" since God is all powerful, so what does he think is going to happen at the end? Will he get punished like all the other sinners? Does he know that is what is going to happen and he just doen't care?
So as you can tell the subject of the Devil facinates me. Can't really tell you why. Considering I'm an Agnosic, I think it strange this is so interesting to me.
If you are going to tell me he doesn't exist, just don't, that does not help me at all. So only answers that answer my question (or at least attempts it)
Sorry there are so many questions, but I have a lot.
Thanks.

Think about it.....it suits you perfectly because it means you are right and dont have to acknowledge G-d or live by the spirit.

Is it really possible EVERY word is false? Every eye witness was wrong, every thing was made up, and over thousands of years kept the big conspiracy a secret......just to get you to come to church and give a few bucks??? I though you were "logical".

Isnt that thinking a little too highly of your own self worth??

http://www.returntogod.com Check out "can we trust scripture" on the left hand column of choices.

Just stirring the pot, take no offense. I know we all have our roles to play. His will be done.

***The chance of any one man fulfilling just eight prophecies has been calculated by Peter W. Stoner in Science Speaks at 1 in 100,000,000,000,000,000 -- yet 60 major Old Testament prophecies, having 270 ramifications were fulfilled by the life of Jesus.

supernatural occurrence?

The first study that was done was deemed a fake, as the scientist who led the team forged test results and evidence to make the Shroud out to be a fake. In other words, Ian cheated.

A new study has been conducted and has found, among other things, that it's impossible for the image to have been painted on the Shroud. Whatever makes the image appear does not seep into the fibers as paint or ink would. It's as if the image is just "floating" there; discernable to the eye, but no evidence of any substance integrating into the fibers. It's so exciting that this may actually be the burial cloth of Christ!

Link to book by one of the scientists who studied the Shroud in 1978, after Ian Wilson's "rigged" report.

http://www.amazon.com/Report-Shroud-Turin-John-Heller/dp/0395339677

Heller (author) admits to being skeptical about all religous relics, but was amazed by what the Shroud revealed.

The reviews are very helpful also.

I've read this book.

how come people always refer to it as a person. that's why they have different opinion on it. God is a force you have to respect and have to undestand to control your life in balance to the oppositely negative energy

This isn't a rhetorical question. Let's say someone goes to Jerry Falwell's Liberty University and takes a cosmology or physics class, but the class says the universe is 6,000 years old.

Later on, he applies to UCLA, is accepted, but the school makes him retake a slew of classes because Liberty's version of science isn't compatible with the overwhelming opinion of scientists.

Is that a violation of religious freedom? IF it is, do you think it's fair to the student to put him in a class where he's expected to be familiar with traditional physics, but won't be?

This is an extreme example, but you could come up with so many more examples. What if a student goes to a Seventh Day Adventist high school that omits classical literature because (I'm not making this up), they think stuff like Ernest Hemingway is "sinful".

Both of my examples are real possibilities. Is it more important to be sensitive to religious sensibilities, or keep rigorous academic standards?

I'm not really affiliated with any religion, but I hear so many of my "unattached" brothers and sisters on here talk about how Christians and others constantly push their religion on them.

I don't mean any disrespect (because I don't know any of you personally), but I think if you're a mature adult, you can say "No" to drugs, sex, salesmen, doctors, and religious folks.

Who knows, maybe I'm just lucky, but I don't think ANYONE has ever gone beyond their bounds to get me into their religion. And that goes for JW's and everyone else.

If your experience is different, please let us know how, so we can learn from your problem.

Thanks in advance!

Hypothetically speaking:

So there is the Devil and there is God ...
There is Heaven and Hell.

They had an argument... The bad guy won. Won the battle and claimed the earth, the matter.
God got given the sky, the ethereal stuff.

Would explain a lot wouldn't it?
