False. Religious zealots are brainwashed. In a culture where it is the norm to be religious and being an athiest is looked down upon and scorned, it takes a lot more courage to admit that you do not believe in God. Just because people believe something does not make it true. That is the fallacy of Ad Populum. You have to think for yourself to become an athiest, because you must take a step back from religious fervor and say to yourself, 'Hey, wait a minute...something doesn't add up here.'

False? they are actually more true to there hearts than most religious people. If God never spoke to you then you really don't know he is real, you just say I believe like Thomas, but you console yourself with better is he that did not see and still believes. Is more likely you are just following the teachings of your parents good or bad than God's way. OK grant it some parents are no influence, then maybe television, your friends at school. But it is very much like saying you are in Love, you show what you Love by what you do with your time. Why would a good person care what atheist think? They need God just like you did at one time? But God doesn't speak to them so why should they believe or how do they know your God isn't the Devil? the word Christian today has lost its meaning, as being an American was once great, today hmmmm I am a Christian but I respect Atheist more than religion. Is much harder to stand out in a crowd than try and blend in. If God has put them on your mind? Find one to pray for and mean it!

So anyone who is not a Christian is brainwashed?
All people do is believe the science and eduction they get. I would bet there are still remote tribes out there who have never heard of God or Christianity so must be atheists. Who brainwashed them?
Christians believe things and speak of things totally at odds with accepted science. They are the smaller group. Who then has been brainwashed.

In this world, everyone is brainwashed. Propaganda, dis-information, and spin doctors are hard at work. Out of all the distress in the world, the atheists are the least brainwashed: they dare to challenge, use common sense, and think!
