Kind of hard to be a virgin with sex, yes. Granted, they may not have had the knowledge of being able to be pregnant with Sex like we have. But, God is way more advanced then us, so you know that he knows there is a way to let a virgin have a baby without sex.

First Mary isn't a Saint, she was the mother of Jesus. Yes I believe it's all true, but I also think that people do not understand what a miracle a natural birth is either. The whole process of creation is a wonderful thing. And looking into a face that is you is awsome. I think too many people take birth and a life of a child for granted. Virgin birth or natural birth is all a miacle and act of God. Oh the reason I say Mary is no saint is because the Bible never said so

It's called a miracle. If God exists then miracles are not only possible but probable. An atheists hasn't proven that miracles can't happen, he's just defined them out of existence. The universe has one billion trillion stars and it's all held together by physical laws like the law of gravity and thermodynamics and electro-magnetics and physics and chemistry and so on. There's perfect design in this universe. Where there is design there must be a designer. Anyone who could design such an enormous and orderly universe would have to be a God. You call Him what you want. I call Him God. If He could create this enormous universe, He could get a woman pregnant without sex.
Your problem is not with the Virgin Mary having Jesus without sex. Your problem is with the first verse in the bible, Genesis 1:1, "in the beginning God created the heavens and earth".

The Virgin Birth of Jesus is one of the main pillars of Christianity.
Four others are
1) The Resurrection of Jesus from the dead.
2) Salvation by the Shedding of His Blood and nothing else.
3) Then inerrancy of scripture.
4) The Absolute Deity of Jesus Christ.

These five doctrines denote Fundamental Christianity.

I do believe Mary, a virgin, (who had not had sex with any man), brought forth the baby Jesus. Look at the prophecies He fullfilled. His birth place, trip to Egypt, home in Nazereth, crucifixion, resurrection, and many more. He was who He said He was. And the pharisees knew He was claiming to be God's Son, eternally (in other words He wasn't a created being).

I really don't get why this is sooo important.
If God exists, there is no reason why he could not bypass the fecondation step, and have a virgin expecting a child. But why is it important? if the same God decided that sex is a good way to bring forth a child, why is it denied in this case? why a vergin is more pure than a non-vergin???? is that the touch of a man that corrupt her?
or is it rather a way to control who is bearing the child of whom, in a world where father's lineage was deemed more important???

Any christian who reads the bible will. If she wasn't a virgin the whole christianity faith would be based on a lie, and wow. That would be the biggest Punk'd ever.

I don't know if it's possible to have a fully functional asexual human being, but then would that technically count as a "virgin birth?"

No , tha is impossible. Parthenogenesis has been observed but never in mamals, and it generates only females.

Mary had sex with her lover Gabriel and got pregnant. Joseph, a good guy who realy loved her decided that he did not mind and raised the kid as his own.

Nope. That is unless they knew about how to use a turkey baster and artificial insemination practices. Then and only then would she have been in the clear.
