If you don't believe that we have a Creator-what is your argument against?

I just read this poem by Emily Dickinson and it had a profound effect on me. It caused me to question why we really need religion to appreciate God. Enjoy.

"Some keep the Sabbath by going to Church-
I keep it, staying at home-
With a Bobolink for a Chorister-
And an Orchard, for a Dome-

Some keep the Sabbath in Surplice-
I just wear my wings-
And instead of tolling the Bell, for Church,
Our little Sexton-sings.

God preaches, a noted Clergyman-
And the sermon is never long.
So instead of getting to Heaven, at last-
I'm going, all along."

I know, it's deep. It took me a while to pick up on certain things.

Is it because they think heaven is some kind of Abbey full of repulsive
monks babbling? Or because they deny life--hypocratically? Or do they think God must restrict physical pleasure in heaven or otherwise
he will contradict himself. It doesn't also make sense to me--why you think the pleasure of flesh is something bad??? It's Christian doctrine that FLESH implies something bad--not a Muslim(or even Jewish) one. That is one of the reason why
Christians are encouraged to be eunuchs and they are encouraged not to marry. In Heaven a Muslim will have both physical and spiritual pleasures. The highest of those pleasures will be infact spiritual--that is--they will see God. Sin doesn't exist in heaven. And we don't equate sin with flesh--unlike you. According to Islamic Theology we will be resurrected with our physical body and will go to heaven and hell with that. Women won't get 77 virgin guys. They will be satisfied with one guy--her former husband(incase she had several husbands--God will decide one of them--probably the most pious one) or incase
she is unmarried--God will get her married in heaven with a guy.
God knows best.

I am a Christian myself, but something has been bothering me a/b this site and my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. I sit here and read some of the questions some of you write to non-believers or your answers to some non-believers questions and, the way you come across as "holier than thou" and basically answer w/ smart comments is no way to further God's kingdom. Our goal is to spread the word of God in a loving and God like way, but when other brothers and sisters are putting down non-believers for their beliefs rather than showing them how much God loves them and how God can bless them in life if they just ask him to live in their heart and to repent for their sins. Why do we feel it necessary to put on the front like a "holier than thou" attitude when we are sinners just the same as non-believers. We are their light guys we want to show them how they can shine not put them out!?

Quran 4:82 YUSUFALI: Do they not consider the Qur'an (with care)? Had it been from other Than Allah, they would surely have found therein Much discrepancy. http://www.usc.edu/dept/MSA/quran/004.qmt.html#004.082

What a awesome example or "errors" within a supposed religious book. People, it just doesnt get better than this. The very verse that makes the boast that the Quran is from God also is an error unto itself! This is pretty stuff.

If your too stupid to see it already, let me dumb it down for you. See, in order for the Quran's claim in 4:82 to be correct, it MUST ALSO BE TRUE that humans cannot make books of any sort without error or discrepancy! Aburdity at peak levels!

Humans can cure many disease, send men to the moon...but we cant make a book without discrepancy...even with millions of editors using spell check!

Note to Muslims: Dont bother, this is not for debate. If your too stupid to see this error...what can I do about it?

If there was no God that started time in our universe. Then theoretically how did we ever reach this point? Since you can never go back infinitly long, then there has to be a God that exist outside of time. Scientist by the way have proven the Earth is Not Static therefore the universe had a beginning and therefore is not infinilty large. This Agnostic I know claims he was getting death threats for telling his girlfriend about his beliefs. He claimed somebody keyed his car and slashed his tires too. He never found out who did it.

I am a 24 yr old guy with lust problem. Basically I struggle against the temptation of porn/masturbation every day. I have yet to realize why God would let me go through things like this out of billions of people. After all, I tried to be productive, moral citizen by staying away from drugs, alcohol, tobacco, sex and I got this terrible lust problem.
Some people say good things can come out from struggling against bad things. Can anything beneficial come out of my struggle against lust problem?

Peters Gospel was not included in the Bible, in this gospel it describes Jesus as showing no discomfort on the cross, he felt no pain because he was never human. I guess this didn't fit in with the story those who compiled the Bible wanted to promote. Peter was a major figure in the Jesus story so doesn't it seem very strange that his gospel was never included in the Bible but suppressed and ignored.

human beings have been in existance for over 4000 years and before that, evolution occured (accoring to scientists). how come it hasnt been occuring since then?
I dont get evolution theories because a lot of it to me is not very accurate.
I am a Christian and beleive that God created everything. so please dont be rude and all, talking about Christianity, I'm just asking for a logical and reasonable explanation (if there even is one) as to why evolution hasnt occured over the past few thousand years
