Absolutely, look to God for the answer to that question, and be prepared to wait awhile for an answer.
Often we need to make changes in our lives before we are ready to fill that personal calling.
But God is the one that will make the changes, not you.
That is the good part.
I know people who have lived half their life before they knew what the calling was.
Others knew when they were a teenager.
It's different for each person.
I think it depends on how much work the Lord has to do in you before you are ready to fulfill the call.
You might try to find a book Experiencing God.
It might help you to understand the process better.

Without a doubt. But like the Baptists like to say, if you're called to preach you are called to train. All the 12 deciples had 3 yrs training before going out on their own.

Yes and no - I believe that callings are self actualized. It simply takes a realization of self and how the self works in the environment and how these work together to find a calling within these parameters.

Yes, each of our individual personalities and aspirations lead us to that calling. I believe this is a product of education, upbringing and also exposure while young to certain elements which stick with you for the rest of your life.

A personal calling is limiting. Some people prefer to believe that you can "do anything you put your mind to."
