I have something I hope you can clarify for me.

Q)-What do you call it when you do something wrong? Do you call it a mistake, an error in judgment, or do you call it sin? (Do you even acknowledge that you COULD be a sinner)? Is it just a little "oopsy" to be swept under the rug, soon forgotten, or is there accountability involved?
If there is no accountability, how do you handle your children when they do wrong? If you don't believe in punishment for your own wrongdoings should you punish them for theirs? Shouldn't they be allowed to do as they please and run amok by your own standards if that's what you truly believe?
If you can at least ENTERTAIN the idea that you could possibly be a sinner, then how does that sin get reconciled?

What about monkeys? Or dogs? They seem like they have souls to me. So how about mice? Fruit flies? Where does the soul of a fruit fly go?

I know its Father, Son, Holy Spirit, but wouldn't that make it a polytheistic religion. My Christian friends say that they are all parts of God/attributes.

Could you also go into detail of each part.

Look at the state of the world - war, plagues, violence, hate and deceit everywhere. Is the world in a better state since Jesus came about lo those 2000 or so years ago? Quite simply, no. Its much, much worse. Every minute, every year, it is worse. It hasn't got better yet. It never will be as long as we look at that man, that horrible, scumbag of a man, as any kind of spiritual guide. So the question is, was Jesus of Nazareth the Prince of Chaos, the Great Deceiver, the King of Lies, Satan himself? Were all of his actions, his deeds and words done with one singular intention of damning humankind to eternal darkness and suffering?

In taking a personality and personal choice test-- I explained I am studying to by a psychotherapist and am focusing on mind body as it pertains to healing the emotions but want to be equally concerned with adding Christianity to the counsel...and had taken and practiced the Billy Graham counseling training so felt I was right for the job. Not so!

I tried to meditate myself so many times but i'm really not successfull in this case and i hate this. I went to a course in my city(Izmir/Turkey) but it was to expensive and it was something like money-trap. I tried to learn it from books but no success again. What's wrong with me? Is there any website which can be useful for me. Or some personal experience to share with me. I don't know, i don't like to give up so easily but i really get bored to gain nothing everytime.

In tracing the origin of the Bible, one is led to the year 325, when Constantine the Great called the First Council of Nicaea, composed of 318 religious leaders. Three centuries after Jesus lived, this council was given the task of separating divinely inspired writings from those of questionable origin.

Were these 318 religious leaders divinely inspired?

I can't find anything about it in my Bible, and it seems kinda odd to think of the whole Bible as infallible if the people who selected the gospels weren't infallible.

Is there any proof in the Bible that says these 318 religious leaders where Divinely inspired? Or at least infallible?

What is the deal with disfellowshipping? I was never df'd, im inactive....but all my "friends" abandoned me. Don't you think a person such as myself would need help, encouragement, a shoulder to cry on during a tough time? Believe me, the abandonment by everyone has taught me who my 'true' friends are. If they think that by leaving my life it'll make me want to come back, they are truly mistaken....I don't enjoy mental and emotional abuse.

Your thoughts on why this should be the practice?

Why hasn't anyone found it yet? It should be visible, no? With like a telescope? Oh wait, it has to be invisible then, right?

Yeah, I used to have these friends when I was a kid, they were invisible, but then I grew up and they disappeared. Why? I don't know. You got me on that one.

How did jesus levitate to heaven? Wouldn't he have to go through space? They didn't have spacesuits back then did they? Cause I know that after rising from the dead taking a trip in space is gonna hurt, that's why jesus had to have a spacesuit right?

So then what's up? If the central reason for being a christian is believing jesus rose from the dead up to heaven, then why do people still believe in this crap? It obviously didn't happen. Unless of course you're in denial.

Then everything makes sense. Except the truth.

By the way, I DO believe in God, but there is one place where I believe differently than the majority.

If God is so great, then how can a human (Jesus, Peace be upon Him) be compared to God? I don't understand why it can't be accepted that God is God - the most high, and no human can be compared to him, and the fact that Jesus was SENT BY GOD, but not God. Being sent by God, Jesus was still a prophet, and as great as those who make him sound.

My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in October of this year. The doctor told her that her cancer was aggressive and that she had a "chance" of beating her cancer. My mother, father, and all six of us kids prayed and trusted in the Lord even when they told us bad news but we stayed strong. Well yesterday we found out that she is now CANCER-FREE. God is great and he loves all of us. We just have to trust him and have faith no matter what you've been through or what your going through. I just wanted to share my story with all of you to show you that with God ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE. God Bless all of you.

I know there are different degrees of sinning, however is there no hope for people who have committed mortal sins? I thought that God was all merciful, and loving. Or is it just the fear that the catholic church is enforcing onto fellow catholics? All we all meant to burn in hell because we are not perfect? I'm so confused.
