No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The word of God says confess your sins to NO man. Confession is made straight to God. And you do not have to get baptised in the first place. You have to be born again in the spirit and that is when the true baptism takes place To be born again and be baptised means to accept the fresh Word (which is the water) of salvation that is being offered to you by a person ministering to you the Gospel. That is when someone gets saved and enters into eternal life. You don't have to confess to anyone (except God) or get baptised physically in water to be saved.

I was baptized when I was 18. I didn't have to confess my sins or say a prayer before my congregation. I do that anyway to God.

And the pastor and the congregation prayed for me at my baptism, not the other way around.

I was baptised when I was a baby, so no I didn't testify before my congregation. We don't confess our sins to the whole congregation at my church and yes we do say many prayers.

Okay this could go either way. People in our congregation are allowed to speak at the pulpit, so if they want to share their testimony to everybody before they are baptized, they can (nobody makes them, but they can).

On the other other hand, confession of sins is something more private, just for God (and sometimes a bishop depending on the nature of the sin).

Baptism and confession are not related. You confess your sins in prayer to God. Baptism signifies that you have made the decision to follow Christ. If you want to give a testimony, it is up to you. But most times the person doing the submerging will ask you simply "Do you believe in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit." To which you should answer truthfully "yes." If you do not believe, you have no right to be baptized.
