the granddaughter that Jesus gave me.

First: Birth of Jesus Christ
Second: the deformation of a real and having-existed saint, Saint Nicholas, Sinterklaas/Sint Nicolaas (Dutch), San Nicolás (Spanish) into a commercial, never-existed Santa Claus, complete with flying reindeers and living at the north pole which has no relation at all with Christmas.
Third: the commercialization of Christmas. Pity.

I would think of Jesus before Santa. But honestly, when you say Christmas, what I really think of first is a Christmas tree and opening gifts!

I think of busy malls and grumpy shoppers first, then I think of Christians celebrating the birth of Jesus when it isn't even his real birthday, then I think of all the parents that lie to their kids and tell them that some fat guy is going to sneak around their house after spying on them all year. Best part about Christmas time is the new victoria secrets catalog that comes out!

Santa Claus, as an icon of the season. Jesus isn't a part of my life, he died a looong time ago.

Once as a kid I thought of this family with a child and surrounded by guests - the Shepperd boy, the wise men and shining star. Now it's all about Christmas bonus, shopping for gifts and staying late at Christmas eve.

I think man- made pagan holiday first. I know God never ordained this vain celebration in His word or Torah as a Holy Day. Christ's birth is a holy, special day but it never happened on Dec. 25th. And the true birth was never mentioned in His word as a day we were to observe the way that it has turned into. God is very specific about which days were to be kept holy. I don't see very many Christians following His strict instructions in His written word which is for us to follow as Christ did.
