That's all it is, any religion is a belief. With this belief comes a way of life.
I disagree with basing all your life decisions on something that is hope, belief, faith, not solid evidence. I am all for teaching people about how to lead a good life. But base it on something of substance not 'belief'.
What we should do is abolish all religion and focus on being decent human beings. It would stop wars in the middle east, current terrorists attacks, and all the other problems it causes us.

I'm not sure what you mean by that but like most religions, Christianity is only effective when it convinces us not to question its teachings and its teachings are mostly to benefit its leaders. Ever seen the Vatican Museum? While some parish priests are genuine and do strive to help relieve suffering, they are betrayed by the Pope and the hierarchy of hangers on, and the same happens in most religions. Was it the Aga Khan that was the great playboy? Popes bought treasure, the Aga Khan spent millions in nightclubs but it was all paid for the poor who were suckered into giving away their wealth for the doubtful concept of saving their souls.

To be honest I think having faith is just what your born with, some people say "I do not believe in God" and they feel nothing, whereas I have never been able to do that, I always thought I'd get a lightning strike come down if I do, I just always imagined God was watching me. And my parents are both atheists by the way, I didn't get any religious prodding as a child!

We are creatures made up of the the mind, body, and spirit so no, you cannot separate those. We either serve satan or God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength and that means every aspect of our lives. Who do you give yourself up to serve?
The word psychology means study of the mind and soul. A brain is nothing without spirit, without life. When your brain (mind) is dead you still have a soul (heart of man) that will depart the body and live eternally.

Of course, but then a belief in anything is just a phycological experience. All religions are about belief and beliefs have no substance so the only things there are to hold on to are phycological.
Christians believe in forgiveness but, phycologically, it is hard to fogive when the extreemist in the Muslim faith are bombing soft targets all over the world.

Every single bit of reality we experience is subjective to your own point of view. Whats real for you, isn't necessarily real for me. So, Is Christianity a psychological experience... Absolutely, but then again, so is everything else.

Yes. Every religious experience is in the mind.
