Peters Gospel was not included in the Bible, in this gospel it describes Jesus as showing no discomfort on the cross, he felt no pain because he was never human. I guess this didn't fit in with the story those who compiled the Bible wanted to promote. Peter was a major figure in the Jesus story so doesn't it seem very strange that his gospel was never included in the Bible but suppressed and ignored.

First of all the Gospel of St Peter was not written by Peter the Apostle, but was written by an impostor 200+ years after Peter died. Thats a good enough reason. It is a fake.

Well...maybe it might be because the Gospel of St. Peter is not in the Bible becasue all of the Biblical books are "approved" and inspired by God. It might also be becasue Jesus, although is the Son of God, was in human form on earth

Since the only known codex of this so-called "Gospel" are from the 8-9th Century....with only doubtful fragments that may or may not date from the 3rd Century....why on earth would the Church ever place this nonsense within the canon of Scripture?

Even IF the Gospel we have "discovered" is the same one that was condemned by St. Serapion....there's your clue right there. It was roundly condemned by all since the beginning.

Funny that Peter would contradict himself, he does so well in Acts and 1 & 2nd Peter. Why would these books contradict each other if they had the same author.. Possibly the Peter you refer to is another man named peter..

This Peter Gospel must have been a fluke and that's why it wasn't included. It's a total contradiction. Must have been another Peter.

My pathetic rebuke is basically no longer as pathetic as your loss of information of the Bible and Church background. And, i don't have the time to instruct you. The Gospel of Peter replaced into refused as a results of fact it wasn't written by Peter. It replaced into written approximately a hundred years after Peter's demise. It replaced into and attempt to refute Jewish questioning. basically, it replaced into no longer authoritative as have been Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. additionally, the Roman church did no longer edit the recent testomony. the recent testomony began being compiled on the Council of Nicea in , what's right this moment, Western Turkey in A.D.325. Do your homework in the past you communicate......

Peter wrote no Gospel.
That book was written long after the other gospels and contained inputs from another faith.

But what do you care?

First of all, because it contradicts the accepted Scriptures.
Second, because it was written a couple of centuries later.
It was very common to write books at that time, and attributing them to the authorship of recognized writers, in order to give them more authority and popularity. That is why all the books were carefully scrutinized before recognizing them to be part of the canon of Scripture.
