In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful

Blessed is He in Whose hand is the Kingdom, and He has power over all things;

But as for him who is given his record in his left hand, he will say, 'O, would that I had not been given my record!

But those who reject Our Signs, they are the people of the left hand.

PLEASE no disrespect. Make fun of any question, but I ask you as a human, not this one.

To me it means:

Jesus was Jewish, He is Christian salvation
Torah, prophets, psalms and New testament all written by Jews
Law on how to live came through the Jews.
Bless the Jews, G-d will bless you.
Curse the Jews, He will curse you.

Any other thoughts?

Bless you all
David

I've had several incidents where I've heard people being called a "jew" as being a bad name or something, but I've yet to get to know one, but then I go to some sights and find out they are good in hiding that they are jews, but I'm thinking"where the hell did you get that, becuase that means you dont' know my religion unless I said it out loud" I dont' think Jews are a race. it's a religion. I've yet to imagine why everybody hates Jews, I've heard all the stereotypes but I've yet to witness them, unless I've had a Jew Landlord that I've come across, or a store owner, well, that never happened, maybe I was just too young, but I've yet to see one own a store. now banks, I've yet to see a Jew banker or a Lawyer to represent me. but then again, I dont' commit crimes so I dont' need one, right? so what's the big deal with the Jews, and I don't want to hear anything about jews, because I'll hear some subjective nonsense, and i just want to hear the stereotypes, the ones you've heard about

Why not Judaism or Islam? What is it about Christianity that makes it so vulnerable to dissension?

When i was in highschool, i remember in my freshman english class our teacher handed out a worksheet with 6 numbered columns. the title of the paper was, what did god create on those specific days. I was incredibly confused and did not know what to write at all. As we didn't even read any books in class that talked about this. This was the first day of class.

She gave us 10 minutes to fill out our answers and when time was up, she went around the room and asked people for answers. She went down the rows and eventually it was my turn. She asked me what happened on the third day. I told her that i dont know. Suddenly the class started laughing and whispering gossip around me. The teacher was also amused and asked me if i was serious. I remember feeling really uncomfortable.

At the end of class, we had to turn in the papers. I didn't think that it would count as an assignment, but at the end of the month i found a big fat "F" on that particular assignment.

If I drop my beer, will I go to hell for alcohol abuse?

Wait, no I won't, the Druid faith doesn't recognize a hell... So I guess I just need to honor the wasted hops and barley in some way...

I have spent a lot of time in Israel and have both Jewish and Arab friends (Muslim and Christian). The widest part of israel is aproximately 70 miles from the mediterainian to Jordan and about 380 miles long. Israel is surrounded by Arab countries and regularly bombed from Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon. The bombs are most often directed at civilian homes not military targets.
Israel is a reality, only took land after 1947 in it's own defense and has always wanted peace.
If mexico started shooting katuscha rockets into the USA don't you think we would have the right to stop it?

I'm an atheist so i don't really know what is etiquette for these functions.

If i do get something for the baby, i don't want to get him anything religious, do you have any ideas for a good NON-christian gift?

As much as i would like to get something anti-religious, i will be avoiding this, so sensible answers only please.

I'm also a tightar*e so if a gift is not required let me know...

Thanks all.

In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful

He it is Who created you from dust, then from a sperm-drop, then from a clot; then He brings you forth as a child; then He lets you grow, so that you attain your full strength; and afterward become old - though some among you are ca
used to die before - and that you may reach a term appointed and that you may learn wisdom.

Verily, We have warned you of a punishment which is near at hand - a day when man will see what his hands have sent on before and the disbeliever will say, 'Would that I were mere dust!'

And We did raise among every people a Messenger with the teaching, 'Worship God and shun the Evil one.' Then among them were some whom God guided and among them were some who became deserving of ruin. So travel through the earth and see what was the end of those who treated the prophets as liars!

And your Lord says, 'Pray unto ME; I will answer your prayer. But those who are too proud to worship ME will, surely, enter Hell, despised.
