Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is one that I know of. Granted, I believe there are thousands of living masters, in the sense that there are brilliant and truly gifted individuals among us - and everywhere. I am speaking more of Spiritual teachers - the traveling, speaking nomadic kind: Like a Krishnamurti.

The "circular reasoning" argument is absurd. That?s like saying you can?t prove that the President lives in the White House by looking into the White House. It is looking into the White House that will provide the necessary proof. The fulfilled prophecies, the amazing consistency, and the many scientific statements of the Bible prove it to be the Word of God. They provide evidence that it is supernatural in origin.

What do you think?

Send them a Christmas Card! It is time to get out your CHRISTMAS cards list! As the ACLU are working so very hard to get rid of the CHRISTMAS part of this holiday, we should all send them a nice CHRISTIAN card to brighten up their dark, sad, little world. Make sure it says "Merry CHRISTMAS" on the inside only. Here's the address; just don't be rude or crude. (It's not the Christian way, you know!) ACLU 125 Broad Street 18th Floor New York, NY 10004 Two tons of CHRISTMAS cards would freeze their operations because they wouldn't know if any were regular mail containing contributions. So spend 39 cents and tell the ACLU to leave CHRISTMAS alone. Also tell them that there is no such thing as a "Holiday Tree". . . . It's a CHRISTMAS Tree! Pass this on to your e-mail buddies.

Matthew 7:13-15
13"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

I find it difficult to believe that Athiests believe that you don't go anywhere. How is it possible to just say "Well, there's no god." I mean we die for a reason. Yes? And if we just die for no reason, then why do we breathe? Why do we learn? Why do we experience the things we call life?
Maybe some believe in the Athiestic view because of the fear of death itself. If death takes you OFF this earth, where does it TAKE YOU? You have to go somewhere.

I'm having a bit of trouble understanding the concept. I realise through beta-minus radiation a neutron becomes a proton, releasing an electron and antineutrino, but HOW? What exactly is happening?

Not looking for religious dogma, please do not bombard me with "my god forgives all"...no offense but I just want just examples of things that need to be forgiven.

I LOVE God more than I believe in him. I have to be honest with myself. I feel drawn to God, and I love God, but at the same time, I'm not even sure if he exists.
Shame on me.

Aww, snap. He didn't just say that did he?

Yes I did. I don't accept it. I don't believe in it.

Now what?

The Holy Quran : Chapter: 2 (Al-Baqarah), Verse:137
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[2:137] Say ye, 'We believe in God and what has been revealed to us, and what was revealed to Abraham and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob and his children, and what was given to Moses and Jesus, and what was given to all other Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them; and to Him we submit ourselves.'

or once we have existed - is it impossible to wipe us out of ever having existed.

i mean i have existed and done certain things. Can god make it so i never did the things i have done. Wouldnt he himself always know that i had existed before he removed my existance ?

Isaiah 53:1
Who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?

John 12:38
This was to fulfill the word of Isaiah the prophet: "Lord, who has believed our message and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?"

Romans 10:16
But not all the Israelites accepted the good news. For Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed our message?"

I believe in both. I mean who says one day in God's eyes wasn't a billion years to us? Why couldn't have God just modified what he had already created? Why not? Why have so few people even considered this?

I know I know, I'm just asking to get bashed with this question. :X

1 Peter 4:3-5

3For you have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to do—living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing and detestable idolatry. 4They think it strange that you do not plunge with them into the same flood of dissipation, and they heap abuse on you. 5But they will have to give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.
