If you do, read this please:
1. Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) ordered muslims when at war, not to cut a tree, or kill a child, a woman, or an old man.
2. Quraan mentioned that if a man killed another one, it`s equal sin to killing all people. In another verse, the one who kills another one without a good reason, he will be in hell forever.
3. Muslims say hello to each other by saying "Assalam Aliekum". That means "Peace be upon you"
4. Many verses in Quraan ask Muslims to forgive those who do them wrong, and even to be good to their enemies, because in that way their enemies will be like friends.

Why is everybody silent on the evil taking place in Iraq. Innocent lives are being lost daily and you would think that these so-called religious bigots would take it upon themselves to preach against it. Instead they remain silent and the genocide still continues. In the name of God, stop the violence.

about putting words in god's mouth. Almost all of you said it was a sin. But, then turned around and said God said everything in the Bible. But, worn't those stories by word of mouth for centuries before people could actually write what was spoken? Have any of you ever played telephone where you start at one end and you say a sentence and you say it to the person next to you and then they say it to someone next the them and when you get to the end of the line it never sounds anything like what came out of your mouth? Isn't that the same thing as putting words in Gods mouth?

I am a Hindu and am anxiously waiting for Christmas. Wouldn't it be nice if everyone celebrated the Christmas spirit regardless of who we are, what we do?

Same goes with Eid of Muslims, Diwali and Holi of Hindus and other festivals....

What do you think?

Both are incredibly shameful and hypocritical:
Everyone who supported slavery was free.
Everyone who supports abortion was born.

2- Extremely confident of your beliefs, and you're here just to bash those of other religions that you hate.
3- Very confident of your beliefs, but you read about other religions with open mind
4- Hesitant about your beliefs and looking for the right path.

The more I read some of the answers of Muslims on this site the more I become interested in your religion. I come from a family of every christian/catholic denomination under the sun, spanning thousands of years. They always argue over every last bit of scripture, or over the properties of Jesus.
Do you have any websites I can go to to learn more about the religion of Islam. I have already downloaded the Quran, so I dont need that. Just any farther teachings of Islam would be nice. Thanks.

Confucius says humans are basically good and kind. They would do no evils to their fellow kinds. However, only Bible suggests to say there is a God who would take account of those who do evils and their end is punishment in hell prepared for them. If bible is the only book that says that, won't you think it is worth following and believing.

Since we have evolved to be the dominate species, why haven't we had enough since not to die? We've evolved so many times that someone should have figured it out by now?! Will we ever find eternal life or force ourselves to evolve faster?

I thought you were supposted to be nonjudgemental, support fellowship and so on if you truly are following your religion. Why are so many people on here answering these questions in such negative ways. People will never agree on one relgion I don't think that was the way it was ment to be. Don't you think if God/Allah/etc... wanted there to be only one religion he would have made the world that way. I know you will say that it is because of Satan that there are so many differing views but really think about it before you answer. These discussions on here are showing how screwed up everyone really is. Don't judge one another, discuss, be open minded and try to understand eachother before you attack. You might learn something. Knowledge is the key. You can not trully make judgement if you don't have all the information and no one person could possibly know that much. Please do you homework learn about all the religions in this world before you attack someone.

I don't know much about religion or spiritualism but I like to think I have an idea of what is wrong and wrong, and how to lead a good life- my view is basically lead a good life, and if there is a God he'll smile upon you; but if there isn't a God, you still would have led a good life regardless. I think that religion can be a good thing and that all of the world faiths basically want, and say, the same thing in their truest forms.

I was thinking (dreaming, actually) of setting up something like a monastery, somewhere remote like an uninhabited Hebridean island for example, where people could follow their own beliefs and basically lead a good life without conforming to any of the major organised religions if they didn't want to. I'd like the place to be peaceful and self-sufficient and, like I said, basically a simple, modern and above all non-denominative monastery for everyone to join if they wanted.

Do you think it would work? I'd like to hear your ideas- thanks!

"because God told us to love EVERYONE. Besides, Jesus died for the Jews too. " (from an earlier answer about Jews and Christians)

Then why do Christians hate the Muslims if they believe that God told them to love everyone?
