It's not painless- you'll suffer when the bond between self and community is terminated. It's not too bad though, with the help of loving family and understanding friends you'll pull through. What's worse is the residual effects of the brainwashing- the fear of eternal damnation being the worst of it. But with some prescribed reading and mental exercises, that too will pass. Then there's the character exercises you have to do to overcome the shame and guilt reflexes, brought about when other ignorant, ill-meaning people who think they're doing you a favor by telling you that your soul is going to the imaginary hell-place, and that you've placed your soul in danger. This will take time to overcome. Just keep doing your prescribed reading, keep doing those character exercises, and even seek out like-minded people- a "support group", if you will, and you'll find that recovery from a Jesusectomy is NOT fatal, will NOT damage your soul in any way at all, and on the whole may lead to a healthier lifestyle. The millions of survivors can't be wrong!
