It makes you human. If god thinks less of you for being human, he should be sorry. A child cannot mean less to a father if the child does not have faith in him. God should work the same way.

Faith is a struggle for all Christians....unless you and i are the only ones that struggle. To God a person with weak faith is more frustrating in the sense that we don't trust Him when we should. But Faith in itself isn't the main thing that God desires....love is what God wants most. (1st Corinthians 13). Granted faith is important, because how can you love someone you don't even believe in, and what kind of love is it without trust? So i think although strong faith is less frustrating to a certain degree, the fact that we cannot be face to face with Him is more so. I would say pray for faith and look for ways in which you can love Him more.
Faith comes from hearing and hearing from the word of God (Rom 10:17). The more you read God's word and the more you learn about the promises He's made to you and the more you learn to trust these promises. Faith continually should be building, at times we feel weak, but we need to trust in the fact that better times are coming. Since faith builds throughout our lives, it is possible for a person to have strong faith to begin with, but it should still become stronger. Also if you are feeling like you don't have strong faith trust that God will not allow you to go through anything you can't handle.

I would hope that merely having faith is good enough, because right now that's all I'm capable of. For all these years I turned my back on God...just accepting is the best I can do. Maybe weak faith means more in the long run because what you have is sincere. If you're struggling to hold on and not letting go then it seems you have a pretty firm grip after all.

K- a couple of answers. Faith being a struggle- well that means that you just need to find out more of God in your life. Paul said I have to "crucify my flesh daily" meaning- work against his human side and concentrate on the spiritual-and I don't think we'd say Paul was a weak Christian. As far as week and strong faith- Thomas had weak faith and said he wouldn't believe till he touched Jesus' scars- and Jesus said blessed is the man who does not see and still believe-so ya he does value strong faith. Faith is something that is built over time- like trust. I believe that the stove is hot when I am younger cause my mom told me so-but I still wanted to see for myself. We can have all the head knowledge in the world-but do we check it out?

What do you mean faith is a struggle. Do you mean that you doubt God, Jesus, salvation, creation. Or do you mean you feel like you fall to temptation to do wrong, and feel guilty all the time?
Do you "feed" your faith. Your faith can get anemic just like your body if it does not get proper nutrition. Satan is bombarding you constantly with doubt. That alone will weaken you if you don't stay spiritually healthy. Do you read the Bible daily, do you pray daily, go to church or to a Bible study?? Do you have Christian friends?? Anything you may struggle with has an answer for it. I may not know it, but someone does. I would love to encourage you. I have been a born again christian for nearly 17 years. I have gone through the ups and through the downs. I will be glad to help if i can. email me if you are interested.

Dear White,
I agree with 5solas - Faith is a gift.
I add to that - we can ask God for the gift of faith.
I don't think weak faith is as meaningful to the awesome
uncreated Creator of the universe as the direction in which
we are going with our faith. If you are drawing near to
God then He is delighted.
If we were all capable of having strong faith to begin with then faith probably wouldn't be worth having.

What doesnt kill you makes you stronger. Even you asking this question is showing you are concerned. That is great. Keep the faith in God wether strong or weak. It is what you can do that pleaseshim. If you could do it but dont that displeases him. Daily struggle to stay faithful is always going to be pressent... Kepp up the good work.

Life is hard because the Sin nature is with us always. When you figure out how to handle that it is not so difficult. God has a plan and may you find it. I use the Fathers plan. I use 1John1:9 I get back in fellowship and pray. God wants you to be happy. Jesus has taken care of sin. Relax. IT's okay. GOD loves us all. Be Happy. Pray. You obviously already have or I would not be on this site. I know the truth and it has set me free.

You need to be strong in faith and the way to get there is through prayer, reading the bible, and staying in church. I am out of church and its all because I didnt do all those things I have listed. Church was the last thing I got out of. Even when you do not feel like reading or praying or attending church do it anyways, or you could end up like me. I am the prodigal daughter. Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Stay with it and dont give up.

Faith is NOT based on weak or strong. If you have faith, that's all that matters. Keep your faith and allow it to grow by continuing to have faith in God.
