God is a loving father and as such he can and does forgive any sin. There are certain individuals in this world who are so sensitive to the vagaries of life that ultimately they find themselves so unable to cope that the only way to find relief is to end this physical existence. There are other reasons such as clinical depression which could cause the same course of action. Though such suicides can and do happen, it is not necessarily a reflection of the spiritual status of the individual. Faith in God is the only requirement for salvation and if such individuals had faith, then they will indeed be forgiven and resurrected in the next world.

As some people here have stated, the only way to assure you will not survive beyond the death of this physical body is to deny God. To sin is to deliberately go against the will of God. To embrace sin as a continual course of action is to become iniquitous. Sin is unreal to God and such a person who follows the path of sin and iniquity gradually becomes unreal to God as well and does not survive beyond this brief life in the flesh.

Certainly God does not want anyone to commit suicide. People should make every effort to cope with whatever problems they encounter, including seeking professional help such as counseling. We only get this opportunity to live and learn as material beings once. We should make the most of it while we are here. However, as I said before, if indeed a person does commit that irrevocable act of ending his or her own life, God will forgive.

you know that is a hard question cause they have seemed to give up even on God and leaving you really unsure. I am sorry if you are presently going thru this. But YHWH does forgive even the most sinful people. Look at Saul --he kill Christians but then be changed and God did forgive him. He ended up becoming Pual a faithful servent of God's. Change can happen and Jehovah is very forgiving and with God---anything is possible. I will pray for you......

No, i does no longer. If that ever occurred to me, i might want to not in any respect, ever forgive them. THEY made the alternative to pressure inebriated, understanding each and every of the hazards. that is thoroughly their fault, they ought to go throughout the outcomes, and they don't deserve forgiveness from the mummy and father of the sufferer. If I were killed through a inebriated driver, i'll't imagine i might want to choose that human being to be forgiven both. i do not care in the journey that they did not do it on objective, or if it change into the only and in straight forward words time that they'd pushed inebriated, or no matter if or not they experience accountable. that isn't any longer that puzzling, if you're inebriated, then do not pressure. straight forward as that. that isn't any longer anybody elses fault that driver wasn't smart sufficient to call a taxi.

In order for a sin to be mortal and lead to everlasting death - Hell, there must be three conditions:

1. The sin must be a very serious sin
2. The person must know the act is wrong.
3. The person must commit the act of their own free will.

In the case of suicide, it is safe to say that the first two conditions are met.

It is not so clear that the third condition is met. A person who is very depressed or distraught may not be acting of their own free will. God does not hold us responsible for actions that we do not do not of our own will.

Personally, I think that the instinct for self-preservation is so strong that no person in his or her right mind would ever kill themselves. A person who commits suicide is probably not in their right mind.

Please contact me if you wish to discuss this further. This subject is not to be taken lightly.

When Jesus died for your sins, where were you (in time)? All your sins were in the future still, when Jesus died for your sins; when He took your sins, He took all of them. We are told to repent of our sins when we sin, this lets us keep the slate clean, so to speak. See 1 John 1:8-9:
8 If we say that we have no sin, we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

The fact that you do not have the chance to repent from suicide does not change the fact that Jesus died for your sin, before you had ever committed any sin. Suicide is not the unpardonable sin. It would be something to be settled at the Last Judgment, but would not keep you out of Heaven.

But if you are thinking of harming yourself, find someone to help you. Talk to your doctor, priest, pastor, rabbi, someone who cares and can get you help.

The only sin the Lord cannot forgive his unbelief in him. If you are a believer in Christ and filled with arrogance you can kill yourself and still be absent from the body and face to face with the Lord. If you are alive there is hope. God has a plan and purpose for us all. Peace Out.

I don't know the answer to that. It is not the unforgiveable sin but it is the LAST sin someone would do before they died so therefore not be repented of. I'd say if they repented the second after they inflicted the fatal dose or wound and before they died yes, of course they would be forgiven. And even if they didn't, I think God would judge each case individually. I heard of a woman near us that killed herself, she was old, because she found out she had cancer and didn't want to put her family through all that suffering. Only God knows people's hearts and it is a matter of the heart.

OH MY GOSH!!! IT NEVER OCCURRED TO ME THAT YOU WERE THE ONE THINKING OF SUICIDE! I HOPE NOT. PLEASE AS SONGNDANCE SAID, YOU WOULDN'T WANT TO TAKE YOUR CHANCES MEETING HIM BEFORE THE TIME OR UNDER THAT CIRCUMSTANCE.

The bible makes it plain that the only two things which God will not forgive are suicide and homosexuality. Why he didn't put a check valve on those two is beyound me as there would now be no suicide or homosexuality.
Course that is asking a christian too much as he could also have put a check valve on race difference, any sin and there would be no sining, murders, rapes, armies., police departments, illnesses, accidents, different religions ect.
Every thing would be beautiful:):).

Yes. Remember that it is sin that kills the sinner and when one turns from it, then you are no longer subject to the loop of living and dying. God sentenced sin to die, but not His reflection.

Yes - Jesus died of ALL sins - not just a select few. There is only one sin that is unforgivable - rejection of the Holy Spirit.
