No, but Nietzsche is.
God cannot be killed, only ignored. Thus, society is ignoring Him, but they have no power to kill Him. In the end, all those that fight against God, as well as everyone else, will die. If there is a God, we will figure it out then. If there isn't a God, it won't matter too much, will it?

This question was first brought up by Nietzsche because he feels that the idea of God is not helping people to be good, and so he rpoposes a new model which is the Ubermensch. This statements tells us two points: a. that God exist (though his existence is not told whether in reality or just in the minds of man) and b. that the notion of God is no longer helping people to live an upright life.

Therefore, in asking if whether God is dead, would be to ask if the notion of God impels people to live a life of uprightness. If we look at the situation modern world, we see countless problems. We have poverty, injustice and wars in almost all parts of the continent. However, given this situation, can we say that God is dead?

Is the world living in an oppulent and decadent world? Does anyone care about the problems of the world?

In the end, I see that God is not yet dead because there are still a lot of individuals, organizations and communities trying to make a difference. The problems of the world will never go away because we live in an imperfect society for we are imperfect. But if we stive to be better, every day of our life, then a better society is possible - and that God will continue to be alive forever.

Can God be dead? When He is the beginning and end, lived for centuries? The Supreme Creator of the world? The Most Perfect? Omnipotent, Omnipresent, Omniscient !!!
Just because you`re imperfect with limited mind, life and imagination...you level your God like you ???
You`re too disrespectful to a Supreme Being.
Be blessed brother!
