You assume of course that in your version of heaven that we all look the same, have the same personalities and relationships. Seem all that one went through in this life is waisted as we return to what we were before we died, I do believe in an after life but not the "heavenly" one that christians believe in. All of us have lived through many lives and existences and will continue to do so after our death in this world. Those loved ones who have passe before me have evolved Beyond that which they were in this life as I will when I pass. I do not selfishly wish/hope that they all sit in some limbo called haven for however long it takes for me to die. The natural laws are efficient and to have that which is us, our souls, our energy sitting stagnant for millenniums would be the most monumental waist of energies even for some god. So which is more realistic? Think about it!

As comforting as that thought may be, I do not. I have no evidence to believe in any sort of afterlife.

My friend, a deeply Christian woman, relates to me that her pastor told her no one is reunited with loved ones in heaven, because there are no earthly desires in heaven. Therefore you would not *want* to se the people you loved while you were alive.

I keep the memories of the people who have gone before me alive with pictures and by telling stories about them.

I do but I think conscienceness will be totally different and reality will take on a whole new meaning. I think specific memories will be lost and the only familiar thing about loved ones will be the feelings that they generate is us!!

Oh yes!

I truly believe we will see our loved ones after we die. here's why:

Humans dwell with humans and we are considered the living. Spirits dwell with spirits. After we die we become spirit beings thus reuniting us with our loved ones who transformed before we did......See?

I think so. Those saints have already gone to Heaven and since I'm going I believe I will see them and know them. At least I hope so. Blessings.

No, I believe that all my friends have ceased to exist entirely except in the memories of those still living and in the documentation of their former existence. Their 'self' has been utterly annihilated by death, just as all human beings will be annihilated by death.

Yes, I adamantly do.

First, because I have had an experience with a ghost, so I know they exist.

And secondly, because my voodoo belief system depends on it. The ancestors are there to help.
