I LOVE God more than I believe in him. I have to be honest with myself. I feel drawn to God, and I love God, but at the same time, I'm not even sure if he exists.
Shame on me.

There is no shame. I'm going to be upfront. MANY of us struggle with belief.

Stop feeling guilt - give it to the God you love.

It's not hypocritical. If it is, then I am also hypocritical, because that's exactly how I feel too.

What I think makes sense is to say that there is SOMEthing which we love that we call "God." Maybe it's not the "God" we think it is, or maybe it is. But the way I feel is that I have a strong sense of yearning for God, and to be devoted to God. And I do find fulfillment for this yearning, and so I assume there is something that can be called God that fulfills this.

Have faith and keep believing. Sometimes we all struggle with the fact that God exists. Don't stop because the world and satan wants us not to. God is too good for us to give up hoping and believing, trusting in Him always is the only way.

The longer you serve Him the sweeter He gets. To believe in God you must serve Him. If you serve Him you will experience Him. James said that we experience God by actively doing those things which please Him. We can't sit back and expect God to move us. We must take an active part. What is good for others may not be good for you. Some go to church, some help the needy, etc. Find out what is good for you.

well to me it doesn't sound ironic or hyprocritical. you love god but you don't believe in him.it sounds honest to me cuz u hav e a lot of people out there that feel da same way as you but they keep it inside.if you continue on loving him the way u say u do then you may start to acknowledge his existence.

It's called "auto-suggestion" or "self hypnosis".
You can imagine any feeling you want if you dwell on it long enough.
Even Hitler worked himself into a frenzy w/ his hatred; and hatred can be an even stronger driving force than love.
Don't get carried away w/ silly thoughts that creep into your mind. It happens to all of us.
Also, don't torture yourself about religious matters. If a god really exist, he certainly wont punish you for not knowing the truth.
Shake it loose for the sake of your own sanity.

NO shame on you, honey. I think all of that perfectly natural.

It's easy for us to be drawn to *something*, need something more than what we see. How we answer those questions is what religion and spirituality is all about (Charlie Brown!)

Your relationship with god, whatever *you* perceive god to be, is *yours* and yours alone.

It is what you want and need it to be.

Sounds like a very good plan to me. Coming from where I am, not ironic at all.

Applying reason is never shameful-it's why "God" gave you a mind.

Hebrews 11:6
And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.
