Look and this site and tell me what you think.
Look near the bottom where it says 'Take me to the astral portal'

I've tried this and nothing happened, though I kind of felt like I was in a trance or something. I haven't 'traveled' anywhere but to the living room to watch TV and get my mind off this crap.

I half believe I half don't.

Has anyone tried any of those things? What do you make of it?

Did Jesus get head lice, deal with 'crabs', get food poisoning, get drunk, faint, get cancer in his life?

What are values? Discuss some of the things you value in life? Expand on why these things are so important to you. Finally, write about where or whom you developed these values from>

Hints:
Values are: something that is precious such as love, has meaning, something you respect, helpful, something of sentimental worth, treasures, morals - what is right and wrong.

Some examples of value are:
- your family
- your health
- your freedom
- your friends
- women
- your food
- you faith/ relationship wth God
- nature/ earth/ environment
- your life/ ALL LIFE
- your education
- your shelter

We develop our values from our parents, God, friends, and in some cases the media.

Now, this is just an idea I had from when I was about six years old, but, I remembered it in light of recent personal events.

What if -- at the exact moment you went to sleep -- your soul transferred into the body of another, and it became waking? Like, as you were falling asleep, it was your soul switching into another body, and as you awake, it's your soul returning to your body.

I know it's an odd concept. But, yet, it is a possible one, isn't it?

In terms of sleep talking, it's not a complete soul transfer, so, you end up talking about things that are seemingly nonsense. In terms of sleep walking, it's also not a complete soul transfer, so, you end up walking around. While, say, in your other body, you remain silent or still when you really should be walking.

As for being awoken from sleep, what if at that moment the place where your soul had been either falls asleep or randomly passes out?

Again, just an idea...

... thoughts?

I never said it was acceptable for you to treat a class of people that are hurting no one badly and degradingly. Someone who is hurting no one is not a sinner. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you...

The more I see, the more it looks that way. Christianity says man is wretched and doomed and only through Jesus can your life ever be meaningful. Same with an abusive husband. God punishes you for what he views as sins, even when you really did nothing wrong. Same with an abusive husband. Christianity takes over every aspect of their lives, same with an abusive husband.

Be warned, atheists, that you will not be able to answer this question adequetely without reading the short article at this web address,

http://www.rit.edu/~cma8660/mirror/www.johntaylorgatto.com/chapters/14a.htm

however, since you all do read and research your positions before you come to them, this short and simple article should be no trick. But you must read the whole thing to be able to answer well.

Anyway, the point of this question is: Atheists are always telling Christians about how our cultural molding makes us sheeple and determines our faith for us. Now, I am not suggesting anyone here is sheeple, but I am asking atheists to examine cultural molding factors that may have subtly influenced their own responses and choices.

I am simply curious what your responses to this article and if you think that your decisions might have been affected--even in the slightest--by these decisions of a few rich men of the past.

Has anyone ever seen John? I want very much to bring my 12 year old daughter along (she is an only child and we are sort of a threesome!) but I want to make sure it's appropriate. I am not concerned about the content, I just want to make sure it wouldn't be frowned upon by those running the show.

Is it possible that words are not only shells, but that words are shells that mean something and actually the way they are said and thought about creates life and that life can change even from a different way of elaborating words within our lives into a better or worse life? Image? Isn't each of our lives part of a Bigger book of words, all of them combined being all of the Words of God?

According to mathematical statistical probability... "there is virtually NO PROBABILITY that there is not a personal Creator behind the creation we can observe". Do the math.

The statistical probability that all the diversity and order we scientifically observe in this universe is the result of chaos or chance from an explosion (Big Bang), is practically ZERO. There is no reasonable or rational probabilty for this world view, yet the academic world that hangs their hat on science and math are full of atheists, rationalists, and agnostics.

If we can't even agree to accept matematical conclusions like these, then what is point of education? There is no reasonable or rational alternative to believing in God.

I'm not religious and up to reading some of the answers from 'christians' in the religious section i didn't have a problem with religious people. Since then all i read is hatred, condemnation, discrimination and prejudice? are these not supposed to be the loving, caring people of society?

Getting down to business i have 3 questions:

1) is religion all about what we are lead to believe on the surface such as forgiveness and equality; or is it all about fitting into a stereotype unless you want to be condemned to hell?

2) Do religious people believe that the only person who can judge is god, if so why do they feel compelled to criticise and judge and generally spread hatred in his name?

3) If religion is about love, and god is the only one to judge, should the people on here spreading hatred and condemning others to hell be made to go to extra bible lessons or church meetings cos they seem to be missing the point?
