Has anyone ever seen John? I want very much to bring my 12 year old daughter along (she is an only child and we are sort of a threesome!) but I want to make sure it's appropriate. I am not concerned about the content, I just want to make sure it wouldn't be frowned upon by those running the show.

Why would it be frowned upon? Do they have an age minimum? He's a Christian psychic. Nothing more. Nothing controversial there. I say take him. If nothing else he will come away with a bit more experience and an open mind towards others.

12 year olds are generally not-open minded. I doubt your daughter is studying and researching complex information concerning the afterlife. Don't ruin her mind with john Edwards. He's a crook.

needless to say it is okay. I recommend like i'm 14 and that i'm getting homesick. quite everyone gets homesick each so often. I honestly have a sixteen 12 months previous buddy which will in no way circulate to sleepovers because of the fact she continually gets homesick and is going domicile. that's okay to be homesick.

You, your husband and 12 year old daughter are a threesome?? EWWWWWWW!!!! Someone call CPS!!

Just kidding - but you should be careful what you post!!! And, for the record, Edwards is a scam artist. He actually got elected the "Biggest Douche In the Universe" by all intergalactic entities on an episode of South Park!

I've seen him, and I honestly wasn't that impressed - but he was with a group of others and had a very short time to speak. I think your daughter would be fine.

Edited to add:
When you go and see him, you need to go with both an open and a skeptical mind. He seemed to give a couple of really good readings, but there was no proof that it wasn't set up. That was part of the non-impressive factor for me. I would be interested to know what you think after you've seen him.

Open-minded is NOT what you want to be at a John Edwards "show". You need to seriously CLOSE your mind to believing in any of that stuff. With him it's a mere parlor trick....but he turns out the worst kind of FRAUD imaginable!! He preys on people who are at their weakest and hurting and in mourning. He's a charlatan and a fraud. I'd do you, your husband AND your daughter the favor of flushing those duckets right down the johnny-flusher.

I am not joking. That is some bad mumbo-jumbo that dude is into.

good education for a 12 year old.

A lesson in critical thinking.

Tell her to study what he does and try to work out how he does his tricks.

Is he cold reading? look at how many times he asks questions but makes it look like he is giving information.

or has he done some prior research? did he have helpers in the foyer eavesdropping on conversations?

Has he got helpers planted in the audience?

Who cares? Take her to see a clown, it's all the same. It's FAKE!! The 12 year old will probably figure that out.

It's no different than going to the Circus, to see the crystal ball lady!
Or, reading your fortune cookie.

In other words, it's ALL FAKE! For entertainment only! As long as you pay for his ticket no one will care.
